DD got hers at 21 months for Christmas. She just played with the people and the furniture separate from the house for a long time. She's almost 2.5 and now is playing with it "properly."
I am STRONGLY considering this for my Christmas 20 month old. All the ones I see say 3+ but I want to be a rebel. My husband wants to start with the Fisher Price My First Dollhouse but I'm very meh on that idea, lol.

DD got the FP My First Dollhouse for her second bday. We thought it might not age that well and that we would upgrade if necessary as she got older, but she still plays with it.
Jack is already obsessed with playing with the dollhouse in our building's playroom. If we had more space in our apt I would totally get him one for Christmas.

Depends on personality. DS would have had no interest. My niece would have liked it though. 34 year old- absolutely. One of my top criteria in picking DS's toys is how much I would like to play with them.

We have this one and my DDs still play with it at ages 4 and 6.
My DD4 started playing with our Loving Family one at 12mo. I think some dollhouse a are more interesting than others especially to little kids. dD4 LOVES the daddy doll that looks like daddy...an abstract dollhouse would not have the same appeal (I find this true across the board,my kids prefer more realistic baby dolls too).
We have the Loving Family dollhouse and a huge Kidcraft Barbie dollhouse that DD1 and DD2 share. DD3 has been obsessed with them from about 9 months on. She mostly just moves stuff around and messes them up but she does enjoy playing with them. She wants nothing to do with the baby toys .
