If you have this seat, do you have trouble getting it tight enough in the car? DH just spent 20 minutes installing it and complaining that it doesn't seem as "stable" as the NextFit we have in his truck. It wiggles more,or something. I don't think it's that noticeable a difference.
Maybe we have it in wrong? But we did actually read the instructions for once
We have a Britax Boulevard and while we did get it installed super tight eventually we did have to take it to the police station to have a certified tell help us. The installation is not as easy as our other seats.
My mom has a Britax Advocate in her car that I installed and it isn't quiiiite as tight an install as the Nextfit.
It's so much easier to get C in and out of it though, but I do prefer the Nextfit because I think the install is better/easier and we do a good amount of swapping seats around.
Do you drive an SUV or sedan type car? I have a small to mid-size SUV so the seats are around waist level for me. I've planned on buying a Nextfit for awhile now, but I'm starting to rethink this decision.
I bought a Boulevard on sale this morning from Kohls.com for DH's truck since it sits up higher and would be hard to have a deep seat in. If it fits well in my car I might be tempted to get another for mine as well. DS is around the 5-7th percentile for height, so I'm not sure worried about it having a shorter shell.
I wanted the Nextfit for the ease of installation since I could see us taking it in and out of my car more often, but if it's hard for me to get DS in and out every day I might have to compromise on that.

It really helps to have two adults, one to push down with all if their weight & the other to tighten the straps. Make sure you move the front seat up all the way so the person pushing can get in front of/above the seat & push down.
Ours is secure. Sometimes the latch tighteners are hard to get the last few inches, but I've found that loosening and starting again is the way to go if you're having that problem.
