DD1 rolled, but she never used it to get anywhere. She was army crawling by 6 months. Regular crawling and pulling up at 7 months. Walking with a push toy by 8.5 months. First steps at 9 months, full walking a couple weeks after that.
DD2 is 8.5 months and she didn't roll consistently until right before 7 months. She used that to get everywhere. Just before 8 months, she started army crawling. And then starting today she does like 4 movements of regular crawling (sometimes) and then sits up and throws her body where she wants to go and then army crawls the rest of the way.
B rolled around for forever. Like 6-7 months through to 10 months. He does get up on his hands and knees now, but mostly prefers to army crawl. He didn't start doing that until around 10 months, and only just started hands/knees crawling in the last couple of weeks. It totally depends on the surface - I think hard wood (which is what he's on 90% of the time) is too slippy for him. He does a little better on carpet or his play mat.
There was a long time between rolling (2.5 months front to back / 3.5 months back to front) and crawling (7.5 months). DD never army crawled, but she rocked on all fours for a few weeks before taking off into a full crawl at 7.5 months.
DD1 rolled at 3 months, crawled at 7 months, and walked at 11 months.
DD2 rolled at 2 months, crawled at 6 months, and walked at 9 months.
DS rolled at 2 months, crawled at 6 months, started taking steps at 10 months but is just now walking at 11 months. (My girls both went right from taking steps to walking, while he's been more hesitant.)

D seems so content to just roll around to get where he wants to go and gets really impatient on his belly (and therefore flips over almost immediately). He doesn't crawl yet (and I have to remind myself that he was early, and this is one of those things that could be the preemie in him).

Dd didn't roll until 10.5 months. Started butt scooting right around her first birthday. Not walking yet (3 weeks later). No interest at all in crawling.

Does he sit up yet? I feel like DD won't be able to sit up until Halloween so almost 11 months.
She is a champion roller and can do this v-shaped-side-lunge thing sometimes to propel herself forward. But no back support for sitting or crawling yet.
J wasn't consistently rolling both ways until 8 mo. Then he started scooting everywhere on his bum at about 10mos, crawled at a year and walked at 16.5 mo. Even after he started crawling he much preferred to scoot abd did little crawling.
Rolled back to belly at 3.5m old Sat unassisted at 4.5m old Rolled belly to back at 5m old Scooted/rolled around to get toys at 6m Army crawled at 7m Crawled on all fours at 8.5m Took first steps at 9.5m
DD started crawling around 9-10 months but her crawling evolved into a butt scoot/shuffle because of her torticollis according to her PT. At 15 months she's still not walking yet but is taking steps. I think it may take her a while to actually walk because she's much faster butt scooting and shuffling across the room.

Ds never rolled anywhere. He went from sitting in 1 spot to crawling, then pulled up to standing literally the next day. It was 3 months from crawling to walking on his own though.

Yes he does, and he loves to sit up. He is just really stubborn about being on his belly; he hates it!

My DD (almost 8 months) is the same way. She sort of can sit, and will stabilize herself when she starts to tip, but doesn't really do it for long at all. She loves her belly and rolls all of the time. She shows no interest in crawling-- she will sort of wiggle herself over to things she wants, and if she can't get there, she just kind of gives up and looks for something else to do.
My DD started rolling at 3 months. Crawling at 5 months. She never army crawled. Initially she would get up on all 4s and hop forward. By 6 months she was definitely full on coordinated crawling. I didn't call it walking till 11 months although she took steps unassisted before that. She hated being on her back so I think she was just motivated to roll/crawl.
No. Ds rolled for the first time at 10.5 months, and didn't roll again until 14 months. He never crawled. Did a little butt scooching around a year. Started walking at 11 months.
Totally backwards. We did take him to PT around 15 months.
L rolled back to belly at 4 months, rolled both ways consistently around 6/6.5 months, and just now at 7.5 months has started crawling. She also started pulling up a couple of weeks ago and is figuring out how to take steps when she's holding our fingers.
