I used to live near Baltimore but haven't been back since I moved 13 years ago. I am going tomorrow for a second opinion for my son. They are number two in the country for head/neck cancers. I am in Nj. Anyone know how much I will need in toll money? Is it an easy hospital to get to?
It can be confusing, because there are a lot of buildings that make up Hopkins, and they're kind of spread out. I assume you know exactly which building you're going to. The good thing is that there are lots of signs directing you to each building. And don't forget money for parking.
I am so sorry about your son I hope that you are able to get answers/help at Hopkins.
Are you going to the main campus or the bayview campus? The big tolls on the way down are the Jersey turnpike, DE Memorial Bridge, and a few in DE. On the way back there is a big toll in MD, DE tolls, and the turnpike.

When my mom was there I used to take the Del Mem bridge, which I think is $4. There's also a toll in Delaware, which is also $4. I didn't take the NJ turnpike, so I'm not sure what the cost of that would be.
It's pretty easy to get to the campus from 95. There's a parking garage near the cancer center, but it was full a couple of times I was there, so I had to go to another garage. It's pretty well signed on campus.
How much is parking? I have the building and parking lot info at home. I am waiting for another kid at a speech evaluation. The dx for my oldest came last week. It is stage 1 and treatable but still a shitty situation. If I could take this and do it for him I would. I think the worst part for me is knowing I can't help him. He's ok with things as long as he knows he will be ok in the end.

I can't remember, I'm sorry. I'm so sorry for all your family is going through. I can't imagine what it must be like for you.
