I went to the Cleveland Clinic yesterday and finally got diagnosed with a spinal fluid leak. I go to the ENT in a couple of weeks. Hopefully we can get everything straightened out. She kept telling me I couldn't have a CSF leak just like every other doctor from my lack of severe headache minus the very first weird headache in Feb. Then I said something about my seizure meds reducing migraine pain so I never know how to respond to questions about the headaches I knew I was having and the whole exam changed.
Plus I could barely draw a clock and figure out how to put the time down on it during the cognitive exam so now I have a neuropsych test next week to see how bad my cognitive state is. Phew. I am tired but finally things seem to be moving in the right direction.
Holy crap. I'm so sorry that you've had to go through all of this, but I'm so glad you've been so persistent, and that you finally have some answers. Fingers crossed that things continue to move in the right direction.
My mom had a spinal leak right before my wedding. She had to have surgery, but she's been absolutely fine ever since. And frankly, it improved her personality. Like a complete 180. So there's that.

Well I'm glad you FINALLY have a diagnosis, but I am so sorry that this whole thing is still going on. Do you know what your treatment options may be, or does that have to wait for your ENT appt?
wambam, yeah, I am extremely short tempered, irritable, and have periods where I just act weird. I am ready to be back to normal. However apparently that can happen with postconcussion syndrome too so I only hope I am that lucky.
emilyinchile, I have no idea. I am just hoping the ENT has all the answers. Lol
Oh man. So sorry you've had this the whole time. I had a leak after my spinal from my c section and that Headache was the most debilitating pain ever (and my spinal started wearing off during surgery). I ended up having a blood patch done and instant relief. What is the plan for you?
Oh my goodness, that is all very intense. It sounds like you are on the right track with good care - wishing you the best recovery. Keep us updated as much as you'd like/are comfortable with.

Thanks everyone. I'm getting better slowly! Well, mine drains out my nose and sometimes my throat. The last time I know for sure it happened was when I went to the ER in March. I'm having a face CT done to check for fractures.
