I'm restarting my costco membership today to fill my empty cupboard and freezer. I'll take your best suggestions for healthy foods and snacks here, please.
I'm also restarting Weight Watchers Sunday, so any suggestions with that in mind Are appreciated. Thanks!
Mini chicken & cilantro wontons - Super tasty and 4 mini wontons for 1 point. Pirate's Booty white cheddar flavor - 4 points for 1 ounce Fage yogurt Lunch meat- I prefer the whole, roasted turkey breast and we slice it at home. It is delicious There are usually Laughing Cow or Babybel cheese that are low in points
I have heard that the Kirkland veggie burgers are good but I haven't seen them at my Costco.
-6 pack of romaine (good deal, but only if you eat a lot of salad) -dannon light and fit greek yogurt -chicken breasts that are individually wrapped and then frozen are great. Quick to defrost in some warm water. -Pirate's booty but ONLY if you have self control and don't eat half the bag in one sitting. -Angie's Sweet and Salty popcorn -Aidell's sausages are great for a quick meal.
Costco avocados seem to last so much longer than my other grocery store ones. The chicken and spinach burgers are good with tomato, onion, mustard, and whole wheat bun.
I love the microwaveable quinoa and brown rice packs - I think the brand is Seeds of Change? A little pricey but so convenient.
Also blueberries, baby kale (but only if you eat a lot of kale since it doesn't stay fresh long), Tasty Bite madras lentils, fresh stir fry mix, salmon burgers, and chicken burgers.
The curry couscous salad is really good but I haven't seen it in a couple months so I'm not sure if they stopped carrying it.

I also love the 7 Superfoods salad mix (it's in a bag in the refrigerator section - it has kale, brussels sprouts, cabbage, broccoli, pumpkin seeds, craisins, and dressing all in the bag). A serving with dressing and seeds is only 140 calories. I probably eat at least 2 servings worth if I have it for lunch, but it's super filling and really tasty.
Their produce is usually good. I also get unsweetened almond milk and soy milk in the drinks section (if you are avoiding diary), whole wheat tortillas, frozen black bean burgers, frozen fruit for smoothies.
BTW, I think that it is cruel that they keep the wheat tortillas right next to the croissants, bagels, muffins, etc.
Are blueberries a good deal there? I hadn't thought about buying them there before!

My H loves berries and eats a lot of them. I always buy some when I'm at Costco b/c I've always found them to be way, way, cheaper than my grocery store. Strawberries, blueberries, and/or raspberries. Last time there, I bought a 2lb package of strawberries for about what a pint usually costs me at the store.
OP, I also buy the canned black beans. I don't remember the brand but they are organic and I think low or no sodium added. I use them in bean salads, on regular salads, in soups, tacos or burritos, etc. I have also mashed them up w/ some other things and made patties/burgers. They are a great, super healthy protein to sub for meat.
The mini fingerling cucumbers that are in a bag, 1.5 pounds for around $5, the mini colored small bell peppers, and the greenhouse cherry tomatoes. They are good eaten raw, no dressing needed.
Japanese Miso dressing
Huge 1.5 pound bag of washed salad greens (I like the one with baby Kale, the one I get is different from the one others have mentioned. It has all greens, no cranberries )
Chia seeds
8 pack of canned beans \ corn
The Frozen Superfoods veggie burgers (almonds, carrots, kale)
Cheap bananas
I buy cantaloupe at Costco only. It's a 3 pack, but we are big on fruit and can finish it. Whether I cut it the first day, or a week later, it's always sweet, never mealy.
We eat mostly paleo and I get a lot of our groceries at Costco. Produce, frozen veggies/fruit, raw almonds, almond butter, organic eggs, chicken thighs, meat, wild salmon,etc.
Blueberries, cherries Cowboy Caviar (well, healthier than queso!)with those blue bag tortilla chips. I'm addicted. Boom Chicka Pop Organic pumpkin seeds Raw almonds & walnuts Kirkland peanuts in the big tin can Natural Peanut Butter Frozen organic broccoli Chicken breasts or tenderloins; I love that they're packaged into servings--throw em all in the freezer
Thanks to this thread today I bought the whole roasted turkey for sandwiches AND the Bark Thins (dark choc/almond)!
what?! I just got it for the first time and I'm obsessed!! oh no!
I'm hoping it's just that store or the person was mistaken... but she acted like she knew right away what I was talking about!
I'm going to look at another local Costco soon.
I am a total Costco devotee, but this is one of the only things that bums me out...that there is not always consistency in what they carry from store to store or from one month to the next.
I'm still hoping to see the dog treats from the Costco in NOLA out here in SF. They are healthy, grain free, USA made, and both my dogs LOVE them...and one dog is super picky.
