I lovethe MM mom board. Much more @ posts that we would have been scared to post or known were inappropriate for MM And non Moms are welcome there too. Why not? My only complaint is the small font in the quote box
Also, I am still concerned that this will get boring after the novelty wears off since we have no vehicle for fresh meat.
I totally agree with this! We're totally going to have to rely on each other to have crazy/selfish/stupid days, and honestly, I don't want to hope for any of you for that just for my own entertainment. It's much better when it's some random poster I've never seen before. That's the problem with a board of self-selected posters that's not tied to a marketed community, a la The Nest or Bump.
I've been getting (irrationally?) irritated by the people with long sigs that stretch across the page instead of down, so that the thread also gets stretched across the page. I want to PM them and tell them to put a hard return in their sig, but that seems like a crazy person idea. It also seems to be more of a problem when I'm reading in IE / at work - Firefox at home seems to be able to break the sigs across a line by itself.
I have no idea what you are talking about. I use chrome at home and at work. Can you use a different browser at work?

The First Unread setting on the app doesn't seem to work for me. It doesn't take me to the first unread, it takes me to the end of the post. I set the app to Oldest Post for now, but would love it if it worked the same as clicking on the New icon when using my computer.
I'm sad that D&R is a sub-board now . Most of the D&R regulars are there, but if over time we do end up all sticking around here, new people will be less likely to find it.
-I like the sub-boards we have now. As others have said, they were topics that were discussed a lot on MM. Some liked having those posts and others were annoyed. I believe that couponing was placed here since it seems to fit best with our overal topic than it does with others. And at the time, we were trying to limit the number of boards we have. -I don't like posting in bump mode. -I don't like that a mod is needed to delete threads.
Lack of new blood and possibly crazies. Not being able to delete a thread. Lack of budget threads. I like those, and they are normally posted by new posters.

No, I'm stuck with IE - can't install new programs. And I know my description didn't make any sense - just that some people have really wide signatures (like a picture + 3 tickers) and they are all on the same horizontal line, so IE stretches the size of the message box to fit it all on one line.
This doesn't make sense to me. Can you do a print screen so I can visualize it better? Maybe the mods can make some changes so that your browser would function better. The ProBoards mods can do everything.
I feel really stupid because I can't find it in the app. I searched pandce and GBCN. What am I missing?!
I'm not a fan of how some board show the subboard on the main page (e.g. hobbies), but others don't (e.g. home - it took me forever to find real estate when it was moved there).
Keeping in mind that I am old, I actually like the old school look. Its clean, uncluttered, and it says a lot about usability when this "circa 1992" look is still kicking it after many years. Although, honestly, I'd put it at about 2001-ish. 1992 was still usenet and IRC. Ahhh... IRC - the old days of the internet, when the net was all computer science majors and I created my alter-ego, RubyTue.
eta: Also, another vote for hating that edits show. I type, hit post, and then see my typos when the reply loads. Yeah, fine, there is a spell check, but that takes too long
And now I'm editing again to add another... some other boards I frequent have a "technical issue" type board. You can use it to make requests for new boards, ask questions, etc. I think that might be a good idea b/c then I wouldn't have to go searching all over a bazillion boards to find out why the hell I can't find the board on the app since each board seems to have a thread or 2 on suggestions and comments.
