Good afternoon!! 

It's a holiday here (Eid) so we're off this week! Then we're going on vacation this Friday - heading to Edinburgh! Hoping to meet up with pittpurple! 

Another question - Favorite tv show(s) at the moment? We've just started watching The Leftovers and The Strain. Both are really good! 

Fun questions - I'll answer them all! 

What workouts are you doing now? I am currently working on putting my Zumba Step class together! I got certified in May and plan to start teaching come September! Here's one of the routines I'm working on:

-Are you a tidy person or a bit of a messy one? Tips for housecleaning for the not-so-neat-freaks? I try to be neat. My tip is to hire a housecleaner ;-P We're fortunate to have some one who comes twice a week! In between, I try to keep things as clean as I can. 

-Name me a dessert that can be made in miniature sizes to serve with coffee. Hmmm...I would suggest macarons but those aren't easy! Mini lemon meringue tarts? Mini cupcakes? I would search Pinterest - they're bound to have some ideas! 

-Which famous person has the best hairstyle you have seen lately? Please post pics! I'll be cutting my hair soon and need ideas I have no idea. I don't pay too much attention to hairstyles. Is your hair short or long? Are you cutting off a lot or just need a style idea? Once I have a little more info, I can find some ideas! 

-what board games or social games do you like best? Cards against Humanity is my current fave. You can download it online since it's only available in the US at the moment! 

-Have you really traveled in the country where you live? What is your fave city where you are at? If you haven't, which places in your host country would you like to visit?  Well Qatar is tiny and Doha is the main city. We're traveled to the beaches and stuff about an hour outside of Doha, and even to the Saudi border. Otherwise there's not too much to see. There is still a lot more cities that I want to see in the GCC though - Oman, Jordan, etc.

I'm cutting it off I have slightly longer than shoulder length hair and will be cutting it to maybe chin-length or shorter depending on what I find!

I am currently on Season 9 of Friends Other than that, we are up to date on Game of Thrones and Once Upon a Time...so I guess we will be looking for a new series soon!

I don't workout. I just like to be active (stairs vs. elevator, walking to shops...etc).

I am OCD tidy and I love to clean, but keeping up with LO and work has gotten the better of me. Our house is a lot more cluttered and things are left "in process" more often. Luckily, since I'm down to part-time now, I can stay on top of the big things. I can handle a little clutter if I know the house is clean enough.

I was going to suggest mini cheesecakes too. Pinterest has good recipes. What about chocolate covered strawberries as another?

oh, i like this one. I often change my hair and recently had a passing urge to chop it all off and go super short pixie like Michelle Williams but decided I'd look too much like a boy (I don't have a feminine enough face for it) so I'm going to try a short bob.

played that game wolf or village (where everyone has a role and has to lie about it) recently. that was fun.

haven't traveled much, but currently trying to plan a weekend getaway for DH's bday so he can go shark cage diving.

Friends is my go-to show when I want to feel good. And DH and I just caught up with Game of Thrones as well, though I couldn't sit through all of it (DH binges).

No we aren't...I have a pinterest account (I know this because they send me emails) but I have never really used it. What's up with you guys? Out on vacation? I'm glad to have it revived. I check back every so often even when it is slow. No real vacation for me this summer though I did get to spend a few days at a nearby beach. I also go to a local swimming pool. Work is just too intense right now. I hope to get a vacation in around the Fall or Winter. I'll probably do more sometime next year too.

In the summer, I am enjoying lots of swimming. I usually like long walks but I am slowly have to gradually reintroduce that. When summer is over I might start going to the gym more often.

-Are you a tidy person or a bit of a messy one? Tips for housecleaning for the not-so-neat-freaks? Err, I'm on the lightly messy side. I am ok with it. I'll pick things up but I'm too busy for extensive cleaning.

I get highlights and then as they grow out they turn into the "ombre" look. It it nice for me that that look is so trendy now because it is very easy for me. 

-what board games or social games do you like best? I love board games, there are many that I like. I have some friends who like to get together and play them. Off the top of my head, Apples to Apples is fun or Scattergories. I also like Cards Against Humanity.

-Have you really traveled in the country where you live? What is your fave city where you are at? If you haven't, which places in your host country would you like to visit? Eh, since I live in the USA now, I have been to a lot of it. There are still some major popular places that I have not yet seen. I have not been to a number of the major cities/tourist destinations. I'd say my favorite city is where I live. It really is the best fit for me. Believe it or not, I haven't been to NYC but I may correct that sometime. I'd also like to go to SF and NOLA.

Ok, I found you on Pinterest so I'm following you now. My name should pop up for you to follow somewhere on the side or in your notifications. You can also find all your FB friends under settings and "find friends".

Just start browsing the categories (I like to browse "everything"). Or search things like "short haircut". Once you get the hang of it, it's great. I like it for keeping recipes and getting decorating ideas...lots of things.

Hello!  Nope, not out on vacation, not until January anyway.  Just here, plodding along.  Not much to report.  Tonight is Family Banquet at the local Chinese place for FIL's birthday and I'm excited about having someone else cook and clean, but not so much about the meal itself.  I'd really rather pick my own entree than go with a set banquet, but it's his birthday so I'll go along.

-What workouts are you doing now? Bonus points if there is a youtube video demonstrating how to do it! -- I have tap class on Monday (which is more intense than people might think), and I just began a 0 to 5K walking program, and I do yoga 3 days a week. (I feel like that's such a pitiful amount of exercise, but I keep telling myself that anything is bette than nothing.)

-Are you a tidy person or a bit of a messy one? Tips for housecleaning for the not-so-neat-freaks? -- I'm pretty tidy, though I can handle some clutter.  My tip is to have one area that you keep tidy every day, even if it's just making your bed.  Then try to expand that area as you can.  I need an oasis of calm, clean, organization or I tend to go a bit crazy.

-Name me a dessert that can be made in miniature sizes to serve with coffee (I'm doing a café gourmand for dessert for thanksgiving this year -coffee and 3-4 mini desserts portioned out for each person) -- Brownies can always be cut smaller, or you can go with little puddings/custards, trifles, or small bites of cookies.  I made a lovely maple pumpkin custard one year with leftover pumpkin pie filling.

-Which famous person has the best hairstyle you have seen lately? Please post pics! I'll be cutting my hair soon and need ideas -- I have nothing.  I've had a shoulder length bob that I grow out until it annoys me and then chop it off again since college.  I hate having my hair cut, and I am not the type of person to do anything beyond wash & wear.

-what board games or social games do you like best? -- I love Clue!  It's on my list of party games for the celebration I am having for DH's birthday in September.  I also like Trivial Pursuit, and a few other similar games I have.  If it's just DH & me, I'll go with Mastermind or Battleship.  Though my little brother and I tweaked Clue for 2 players by having two murderers, in two rooms, with two weapons.  It made it a bit harder to figure out.

-Have you really traveled in the country where you live? What is your fave city where you are at? If you haven't, which places in your host country would you like to visit? -- No, not really.  Most of my travel has been in North America lately.  My favorite city in Australia is definitely Adelaide.  I really wonder why so many Americans only want to see the East Coast.  I am so glad I took my travel agent's advice and skipped extra time in Sydney in favor of time in Adelaide/Kangaroo Island.  I want to visit Perth, not because there is really anything there I want to see, joust because I want to go there.

Another question - Favorite tv show(s) at the moment? -- Major Crimes.  I love Flynn & Provenza.  I'm anxiously awaiting both NCIS and NCIS: New Orleans when it premiers, the pilot episodes were so well done, and really captured NOLA, a hard thing to do for non-natives. I'm also really enjoy The Last Leg when we get it from England.  Other than that we've been watching The Big Bang Theory in re-runs (it's on at least 3 times a day), and Mythbusters re-runs during dinner, as well as Agatha Christie's Poirot on weekday evenings, before catching up with The Daily Show in bed (DH has a subscription through iTunes).  And we're working our way through Numb3rs and The Newsroom on weekend nights when we're home.  And since I found a source for Jeopardy!, I am all over it!  I've gotten DH hooked too, though I'm not sure about his plan to penalize our scores for wrong answers.
