About 2 weeks ago it started getting sore and puffy. Dr drained it and it felt better. Well it's back again!! I'm so aggravated. It was a $50 copay for her to do it last time and I want to call and see if it's another copay because if it is I'll go to my primary bc the copay is less, but they are at lunch. Ughhhhh.
Yes! 3 weeks ago it got itchy then very painful and swollen. She said there must have been a residual piece of stitch. She numbed it, then drained it and said she got it all out. It healed again, now it's another spot. I just tried on jeans that were too tight (aren't they all) and felt sore so I looked and sure enough there's a blister, and now it's bleeding. I'm waiting for a call back and for them to tell me they aren't going to charge me a co pay again. They did last time even though I think it should have still been covered under post op, but I paid it since its been so long, but I'm not paying again. I'll just go to my primary, at least the co pay is only $20 there.
Awwe! That's so cute! Whenever A gets fussy and I need to divert her attention I show her a pic of a baby and she smiles Nope I did t have staples. Just a steri strip. This is so weird. The scar was so healed that you could barely even tell it was there. And now... Not so much. It doesn't hurt as bad today, just feels like a pinch, but last time if felt sore like the day after surgery.
Mine still bothers me from time to time but nothing where I needed to call the doc.
Now that I think about it I don't know how they sewed me up. I honestly think they somehow glued me back together. Does such a thing exist? LOL, I don't remember much from my c-section but I know I didn't have to have anything removed (like stitches or staples) afterward.
That was my very first call w a concern from my entire pregnancy, 6 months post op. I've had it really easy. I guess that adds to my aggravation, like seriously, now??? I assume you were sewed up like me, w dissolvable stitches. Because I never had to have anything removed either. It just healed on its own. Well so I thought. If I end up needing antibiotics can I still BF?
Check kellymom.com for abx compatible with BFing. A lot of docs aren't familiar with such things, unfortunately!
And, yes, Kathy, they do glue you back together for some surgeries, maybe more than I am even aware of. My patients that have the incisions down the middle of their chests get glued.
They never called me back. I can't believe it. I call 7 months pp and tell them my scar is bleeding and not a call back. Ok so I didn't give them my #. But I gave my name and date of birth. Can't they find my # that way? I'm irrationally annoyed to the point that I want a new OB after 11 faithful years. I think I'm having one of those days
