We're meeting with the acting team leader today to reallocate assignments, since some people have moved. Team leader was assigned to develop procedures for our new business process. He received the assignment at least 4 months ago. Our new process was implemented on Monday. We have no written procedures or guidance to follow.
Can I say anything at the meeting if he tries to assign it to me, or do I have to just take this one in the ass? At least I'm working from home, so he won't be able to see the look on my face, lol.
I don't know if this is the best advice because it is probably too passive aggressive to be the "right" answer. I would probably do it but when it was assigned to me would have no problem saying, "ABSOLUTELY I would be happy to do that Bob. Can you go ahead and send me what you have developed so far since I know you have been working on it for a few months. I am sure it will be easy to finalize from there."
