So it's official, the doctor put me on bed rest for pre term labor. Went back today and I'm 3 centimeters, still having contractions (even with the medicine) and when she did the cervical exam she said the baby's head is pressing hard on the cervix. So....here I sit. I'm not big into tv only because I don't have a ton of time between work and the family. Now that I have all day, I need suggestions on new shows to watch. I also have netflix so I can order some seasons. Any recommendations? I've never seen any series besides reality, and even most reality shows I've missed out on. Recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
OK, that is so funny you said that. That is literally the ONLY show I've ever watched consistently. I've never missed an episode. When I was on bed rest with my first I watched the first and second season again when it aired on ABC Family. But other than Friday Night Lights, I can't think of a series I've watched.
All of the shows most people watch, I've never seen.....Lost, ER, Grey's Anatomy, etc.

LOL!!! I'm not a big tv series watcher either. I did use to love ER though. And West Wing...is that something that you can still find? LOVED that show in college. I suggest that you also work on a movie list because they kill more time. Although I'm not a good person to help you with a movie list, it just seems like a good idea.
Another show that I've liked is called "Who do you think you are?" or "who are you anyway" or something like that. It's celebrities who trace their family trees. I've caught it a few times and really got sucked in. I think it still airs on Friday nights.... on abc maybe?
Great, great ideas. Thank you all! It's only two weeks and I'll be working from home, so I don't have a ton of time. But I do want some mindless, tv watching time so these are great suggestions. Thanks again!

Also, sorry about the bedrest! I went on bedrest with my DD about the same time in my pregnancy (34 weeks) and stayed on bedrest and meds until 36 weeks. Came off after that and carried DD to term -- kiddo may just stay put for you.
sorry you are on bed rest I was also on bedrest, it was boring!
Going to reiterate a lot of what was already said:
Currently watching Mad Men and we love it. Lost Downton Abbey, absolutely Homeland (showtime) Big Bang Theory Gilmore Girls (I need to rewatch the series) Gossip Girl for pure mindless trash The West Wing (the opposite of GG, lol)
