Can you guys rec a good brand of skinny jeans for hippy and butt gals? I have a pair from old navy (rockstar) but they have no give and I think I need something with more stretch. I tried on a pair from a stitch fix box and they were nice but they were $75 and that seemed high but maybe that's what I've got to pay to get a good pair?
Eta: actually I really won't pay that much for skinny jeans so do you have a rec for under $75? $50 tops?
I probably should read the whole thread before responding but I've heard good things about the Gap high-waisted skinnies. They're 25% off with code SUN right now too.

I missed this thread the first time around, but I like the English-countryside pics. Maybe I'll try for that. I am sure hoping that skinny jeans/pants, sweaters, scarves, and boots or flats are still going to be okay since I haven't really bought any new clothes in a year.
Today I'm wearing skinny jeans - rolled up at the bottom, flats, and a tunic blouse, so I think my wardrobe is pretty boring year round. I often strive to look like this:
But end up more like this IRL (even with a pony tail):
That being said, I'm not a fan of the southwest print boots, asdfjkl. I feel like they are ok in theory, but they might get used for evil like this...
I feel like these are way more cute and less chunky around the ankle...

HBC I love your inspiration picks. So cute! I like the idea of tights and skirts a lot but besides boots and oxfords what kind of shoes can you wear with them?

Do you need more than that? lol
Driving mocs, loafers, ballet flats, toms, loafers with heels. Pretty much anything besides flip flops and sneaks.
I got some skiny cords from Loft a few years ago (runs and hides) that work well with knee high boots.
I need more knee high boots. I only have three pairs - a dressy black, casual black, and then a pair of riding boots that are almost a little "too" riding boot-esque.
I really want a pair of Marvin K Aquatalia so I can channel Kate Middleton but alas, it is not for me.

Lol. Well I was hoping flats would be an acceptable answer but I wasn't sure. I needed some assurance.
omg you hors with the Shabby Apple site that I did not previously know of. Their vintage looks are fabulous. Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuck you all.
Seconded. I want everything. I can't chance buying clothes online though. Every single thing I ordered from Talbots went back. I'm way too picky about how things fit.
I don't like the look of wedge boots when it's a solid color like those Toms. They make your foot look deformed. Since I have horrible taste in shoes you should probably take that as a compliment.

SA prides itself on being a "modest Mormon" company, too, so you typically will find longer inseams/higher rises/no weird gaping button holes or anything either.

I need Toms booties and I don't want to hear gpw's mouth.
and how is this not cute for traditional Toms? So effin easy and comfortable.
You can have the Tom's booties, but original Tom's are ugly. /gavel. I have a pair of Tom's ballet flats that I LOVE, so I don't hate on all the Tom's. Just the ugly ones.

Thanks for letting me know. In true CEP style, I won't buy her clothes.

I have no fucking arguments with modest Mormon dress. I suppose I do in theory but I think those mormon fashion bloggers are like 75% responsible for the sudden explosion in adult yet fashionable but also suited to a mom lifestyle shit that's all over pinterest and such.
I feel like before they came on the scene, you kind of had the choice between professional dress and sweats/jeans. Modest Mormons have brought their A game to looking cute yet being able to change a diaper, chase some children. I ain't mad at them AT ALL.
