Guardians of the Galaxy (no spoilers)

It's really good, though!  I thought they did a great job of mixing in the humor without making it so cheesy that it was discordant.

I loved it. I am not familiar with the source material at all but it was fun.

The trailers in front of it were a mish mash of crap though.

Agreed! It was better than the previews made it out to be so I was surprised how much I liked it.

I wonder if the younger audiences enjoyed it as much? It had a lot of jokes that I don't think they'd really get. Like the extra at the end. You could tell who was "older" by the way we were cracking up.

My (almost) 9 and 10.5 year old's like it a lot. Some stuff definitely went over their head, but that's ok.

I saw it on Saturday and while it was enjoyable, my overall feeling toward it is meh. Not a movie I need or desire to see a second time. I did love Groot, though, I will say that. However, I don't analyse things from a feminist perspective on purpose, but this one kind of hit me over the head a few times in some of the failings. Yes, I get that it's a comic book movie but it was even worse being geared at the "dudes" than I feel like the others have been. (Disclaimer: not familiar with source material)

Finally someone else who isn't all over this movie I was underwhelmed by the movie too and am not anxious to see it again.

I saw this last night . I had no idea what the story was about going in, and it was so fun! I really enjoyed it. It's nice to see a movie that is visually appealing and also has witty dialogue. Dialogue in a lot of action movies just makes me cringe.

We just saw it, loved it. Don't think we will take the little ones yet. My son would probably love it, but I think a lot of it would be over his head. I may of tried to make a druid named iamgroot, but alas was taken.
