Apparently My Parents are Paterno Apologists

I just walked into the room to hear my father say "He's not the only one who did wrong! It was the coach, the President..."

Apparently they feel like Paterno is the only one taking heat from this whole thing, and the statue and stripped wins were too harsh. I tried to point out that not only are the rest of them in major trouble, Paterno deserves all this and more since he's the one that initiated the cover-up. To which my mom responded, "Who really knows what went on."

It's a good thing I'm only ever home a few weeks out of the year. I might lose my mind otherwise. And we have zero ties to PSU. Zero.

I wish they were angry. They don't even want to talk about it. Anything I say my mom just responds "Hmm.." which, for her, means 'I don't agree, and I don't think you know what you're talking about you young, naive thing'

This on top of so many other comments about how we're choosing to raise Bean and I'm so ready to go back to my own home.

I've read articles about how the students want to prove that its a good school... etc. Its corrupt to the depth of its administration and ethics. Anything the football money touched is tainted with the abuse that bastard inflicted on those kids.

And they HELD THE TEAM MEETING DURING THE ANNOUNCEMENT IN THE BUILDING WERE A LOT OF THE ABUSE TOOK PLACE??? +o(
