So what did you think of last night's episode?
I thought it moved a bit slow. I just feel like there is so much going on with all the different storylines that it's hard to really get invested in any of them.
I was grossed out at Lafayette's lips being sewn shut. Now, what's the deal with the pregnant chick that was with Jesus' grandfather.
Although I do love Russell. He's the best part of the show. I was a little disappointed with the appearance of Lillith at the end. I guess I was just expecting more.
I felt like Chris Meloni's character was kind of a waste. I wish he was around a bit longer and had more screen time.
The whole Ifrit/smoke monster, shifter and werewolf storylines are really boring to me this season.
I do like the relationship that is forming between Pam and Tara. At least vampire Tara isn't crying 24/7.
i also love russell. dh and i thought he looked much thinner than he did before, though... tara looks like a man to me. with boobs. loved pam's 80's crimped hair.
i found myself laughing at this episode in several places because it just seems like the writers have the characters threatening each other in ways that i assume are supposed to be shocking (eric calling nora and the other lady c*&ts). but they tend to do it so often that it becomes funny (to me) and they tend to do it and not follow through, imo. for example, in "aliens", sigourney weaver's famous line "get away from her, you bitch!" is awesome and memorable because the movie isn't over saturated with those kind of lines, and it's backed up by some ass kicking as well as some visually awesome footage (weaver in the cargo loader with back lighting). not seeing that in "true blood".

I thought he'd be around longer, but maybe that was the point - get someone to play that character that the viewers would like and would want to see more of - so that it's even more shocking when he's killed.
Lilith was a hallucination, right? Because when Eric looked back after speaking to Ghost-Godric Nora (?) was just staring at nothing?
I think it's stupid that they got Alcide and Sookie so close to something and now all of a sudden he's all into random were-chick.
I love Russell and Rev. Newlin: "I'm just so happy to be included!"
I like how even Terry is fed up with the Ifrit storyline.
Yeah, I thought Lillith might have been an hallucination, but it's strange that they all saw her and like noticed her all at the same time. It was as if they were waiting for to say or do something before they continued their binge.

Between this and TN boards - I forget where I post what...
I was interested, then I got bored, then more interested and mad it ended when it did.
I couldn't see how Roman could not be dead episode before last, but since the actor is a "big" name and was at Comi-con for True Blood, maybe he'll come back in some other form like this show likes to do - you know a la Jesus head.
Russell and Rev Newland cracked me up. Lovers sometime maybe?
DH keeps commenting how he would prefer Eric to go back to badass Eric from the early seasons. I'm ok with that as long as he's shirtless. (I can say ass here and not on TN!)
I'll suffer Alcide's Rambo headband for some more shirtless Alcide.
Sense a shirtless theme here? Apparently True Blood season 5 does not.
I don't like smoke monster either. Sookie trying to use and lose her powers, eh.
I still don't understand the Lillith, guardian, holy blood, counsel things but I did enjoy some high vamp action tom foolery. I didn't get past the first few books so maybe it's explained more in there.
I'm glad JD wolf got busted by grandmomma wolf with his V in hand and glad baby wolf didn't taste it (hopefully - they didn't clearly show that).
Was real life Sookie pregnant for any of this season's filming? Maybe that's why she's not getting it on with Alcide - issues filiming twin baby bump?

I definitely noticed the lengthy pause between names in the credits where Chris Meloni's name usually popped up.

I'm also hoping Patty the Daytime Hooker is a good werewolf.

None of that was in the books! I find myself getting lost with all that too.
