Post HSG questions

I had my HSG this morning and everything was clear (yay). I just passed a big clot (quarter size maybe a bit bigger), is that acceptable for post HSG bleeding? It really threw me for a loop because I thought the bleeding was cervical irritation. I'm CD 7 and af stopped two days ago so it's not that and I never pass clots with regular af. Is that a normal thing or should I call?
One more question that is probably dumb but how does iui compare in pain or uncomfortableness with the HSG? Anyone care to give me a rundown of what to expect?

I can't speak to IUI, but I can speak to post-HSG.
After mine, that day, I had some minor spotting. Then all clear for a day or two.
After that, it was like regular AF for five days, but with some clotting. RE said this was normal, basically the process can almost "clean things out".
If you have any concerns, I'd call your doctor, but it sounds normal.

this was my experience as well, though if you have a stubborn or weirdly located cervix they can get pretty uncomfortable.
