Rough Days

I haven't been on much lately for 2 reasons. First is that our internet went down a month ago and no internet means no time on here. Second is that the family pup Akela has been going through some health issues.

He was doing great for his age up until a few weeks ago (14 years old) and then he suddenly started to really show his age. This morning we said our goodbyes to the big boy.

Its hard to put to words how I feel right now. We've had him in our family since he was just a pup, when I was 12 years old. I've spent much of today crying and holding our younger pups, not wanting to let them go.

Thank you very much everyone. I keep cuddling with the other 2 pups right now and thinking back to the many good memories with him. He did live a good, long life with our family.
