I'm having a lot of trouble finding bulbs which have sufficient wattage since the switch from incandescents. I'd like to find 90 or 120 watt equivalents but it's hard to find anything above 60.
mostly 60W equivalents (mix of CFL and LED), but H likes to play with light bulbs, so I never know for sure.
Some fixtures have a mix of 40 and 60 equivalents, some have 30s, some have 100W eq. LEDs mixed with 40W incandescent. He is an electrical engineer, but there's no logic, except in his own mind like the same reason he leaves $5.47 for a tip or set the microwave to 24 seconds, rather than rounding up/down.
I use mostly 60W for things, but my overhead lights have multiple bulbs. The lamps in LR are 75W for reading. Can I say that I HATE the new CFL whatever bulbs. They say the 13 is equal to the 60W, but to me it seems like it only puts out half the amout of light! I like bright rooms. Do you think its OK to use higher #'s of these new kind of bulbs (ex: use the 75W equivalent in a lamp that specificlly says its rated for 60W bulbs?) I can't find any more 60W, and I'll need new bulbs eventually.
