We've been TTC since May and my last cycle I had this happen for the first time. It started brownish and then turned bright red and was almost enough to be a very light period and lasted for about three days. I'm about to ovulate again this cycle and just noticed brown spotting this morning again.
Dr. google says this is normal and even a good sign of fertility? But then I googled some more and it said a "drop" of blood was considered a good sign. Mine was definitely more than a drop.
This NEVER happened before we started TTC. Reassure me? Is this normal?
I have had this happen my last two cycles, right around when I should have ovulated I had light bleeding for about 4-5 days. I have been using OPKs, so I know that I did not ovulate during this time (I was also hoping mine was ovulation bleeding, but I think it is too heavy for that). I had my annual exam last week and my OB prescribed Provera, which is a hormone to help regulate my cycle and stop the mid-cycle bleeding. I think it will also help with the ovulation by regulating the cycle, or at least I am hoping so.
If this continues for you, it might be a good idea to call your OB.
Thanks for the response. I'm using the Clear Blue fertility monitor and per that, I am ovulating. The spotting was about a week before when I think I'm going to ovulate.
I'll wait out this cycle and call my OB if it happens again next time. Thanks for commiserating.
