I think it's a little tacky but I guess it's part of the age. The mentality is probably, "Why spend hundreds (or however much someone spends on those things) just to tell people a time, date and place?"
Honestly, I can't even remember the last time someone other than my H sent me a letter in the mail. People barely send emails these days and just resort to facebook messages.

I bet this is just the begin of the tackiness. If you're going to send a fb invite, what other conventions will you ignore? I'm expecting groomsmen in camo.
You can pick up pretty nice invites at target that you print yourself. No excuse to only use fb.

Jeez, if you want to do an internet invite at least use a dedicated website for invites and make it look nice. Facebook invites are for FRG meetings and for let's get smashed on Friday type of stuff.
