I'm thinking about giving Whole30 a try. Some aspects scare me; I mean I love my cheese and I eat peanut butter daily but I could manage for a month.
I know I won't be able to H on board with it though. It seems like it would make it much harder/damn near impossible without the support of your spouse. Has anyone successfully completed Whole30 when their SO didn't follow the plan as well?
We are doing it together right now. I'm pretty sure he only agreed to it for my benefit since he doesn't have the same problems with food as I do. I just shared how the program worked with no pressure and asked if he'd like to join. He responded "I guess it would be easer." And what he really meant was that he won't get home cooked meals otherwise. Lol.
I could do it without my spouse but it is sooooooooooooo much better/easier doing it with him.
He has lost 5 lbs already (and between you and me, I'm sure some of this is water weight but I'll never tell) so he is (begrudgingly) thinking there is something to this. And yes, I told him not to weigh during but he is a scale addict.
Like me, breakfast has been pretty easy for him since we both love eggs while lunch is harder. Dinner is easier, especially for him since I'm doing the cooking during Whole 30.
I'm only on day 4, but my husband is not participating. It's not too hard so far, we always eat breakfast and lunch separately anyway. For dinners he will pretty much just eat what I make. Depending on what I'm making he can make some modifications, like yesterday when I made tacos he used regular taco shells and added cheese. The real test will be the weekend though, when we usually go out to eat and order take out.

I did it without him in June, and it wasn't bad. He was very supportive of me, and he just ate what I procured/cooked. But he didn't follow the plan when we weren't together. He also did have some snacks and things that I couldn't have in the house, but once I got past the first week, it wasn't really a temptation.
I'm on my second whole30 without my husband or son. So breakfast and lunch everyone is on their own- but it always is during the week anyway. Whatever I make for dinner is what's for dinner. My husband doesn't have an issue because most whole30 meals are amazing. Now my 3 year old...he doesn't eat anything I make, even when I'm not doing a whole30. I thought it would be harder than it was, but it's been manageable.

This is my second (didn't finish the first) Whole 30 without my H or kids. I make the same kinds of things, like eggs or whatever, but they'll have cheese and things like that on theirs. I make compliant spaghetti sauce and have it with zucchini noodles while they have it with regular noodles. The hardest part is just having tempting things in the house (CHEESE.) H will never give up carbs. Ever.

My H and I started together, but he's not doing it with me anymore. I've read the book and am much more committed than he was. He had a good week, but I went out of town and he lasted about 5 minutes on his own Now that I'm back home, I plan on making the same dinner for us both, and he can add cheese, or whatever he wants to his. We pretty much eat on our own for lunch and dinner, so that won't be a problem.
Now that I'm three weeks in, I don't think it will be much of a problem seeing his cheese, milk, bread, etc. around the house. This would have been hard during week one though.
We are doing it together, mainly bc I do all the cooking so he would eat what I made anyways . It's been hard when I make things for my daughter and can't take a bite of Mac and cheese, or grilled cheese, or pretty much everything she eats. The good thing is that it's taught me how much "extra" stuff I eat during the day, a hand full of Cheeze it's, a bowl of cereal there.
My husband did cheat and go out for pizza this week, I gave him the finger and told him I hated him. I can't imagine going 30 days with extra outside temptations!

I will be, but that's because he's gone for 8 weeks at a time I'll offer my kids the same thing as what I'm eating for the most part, though they will probably have more fruit than me and they will still have their dairy. I'm making them cut their alcohol habit, though!
