This will be my first weekend, obviously, so I hope it will be easier. We usually do pizza on either Fri or Sat night but it's not like we can't come up with other stuff to eat.
I'm planning on doing spaghetti zoodles (zucchini noodles) with the Rao's marinara and meatballs (onion/seasonings/egg to bind them together).

Day 3
My first weekend as well. We are super gung-ho right now so hopefully that will help make the weekend easier. We are going to Costco tomorrow to get meat and tomato sauce (I saw it is compliant somewhere on here) for spaghetti squash. Any other Costco favs out there? (I saw the cashews have peanut oil, whomp whomp).
Probably also going to make a pot roast in the crock on Sunday for lunches next week.
Anyone have a good taco blend seasoning? I'd like to make taco salads tomorrow night. wambam - is your southwest blend a good one for "taco" things?
I think it's going to be harder to stay on track just because I get up later/my schedule is different on the weekends. It might be easier in that I'll prep for next week.

Yes, it can definitely be used for that.
I also use this one for taco seasonings: 2tsp chili powder 1tsp garlic powder 1tsp onion powder 1tsp oregano 1tsp paprika 1.5tsp cumin 1tsp salt 1/2tsp black pepper

Thanks wambam! Which chili powder do you use? We have something standard, like McCormick, and we didn't know what one of the ingredients was..
pixy0stix - I had a really bad headache night 1, and all day yesterday. I broke down and had some iced black tea. I like my coffee light and sweet, and giving it up cold turkey was killing me. I wanted to caffeine detox all the way, but I think I need to wean a bit. Maybe some tea would help?

I use the store brand of my local "fancy" grocery store.

I found a compliant taco seasoning blend at Costco last weekend. It was in their seasoning section. I don't remember the brand, but it was organic something or other and wasn't McCormick.

I'm starting hard core on Monday. I've been weaning my way into it this week. I've managed to avoid non-paleo foods this week but need to get more organized.
Less of a headache here. Just grocery shopped for the weekend/next week. We are hosting a party tomorrow and I think my party guests are going to have to suck it up and eat what I serve. I may use this opportunity to get some things out of my house (peanuts anyone?).
I did have a dream last night about Cheese-it's and chocolate. Chocolate I miss, Cheese-it's i do not so it was kind of weird.
I'm starting Monday, too, but I'm not doing much to prep this weekend because I cheat by using a local paleo meal service for meals M-Th.
Oh man I wish I had something like this. My life would be so much easier
It is awesome. I spend about 80-90 bucks a week, and it's enough for 4 dinners for DH and DS and I plus 4 lunches for me (the portions are generous and I can't eat an entire meal). I found them just by googling "Paleo meal delivery."
If anyone happens to be in the Cleveland/Akron area, they're called Paleo to Me. Mmmmm.
