Day 4
We made the rosemary roasted reds (mentioned in another post) as a side last night, so today we heated up the leftovers with some peppers and onions, and fried eggs on top. Yum!! Our plan is to make a big batch every Friday night for weekend breakfast. So good!
Taco salads for dinner tonite - ground beef, lettuce, avocado, tomatoes (maybe make salsa). Probably make enough for lunch tomorrow.
Making pot roast tomorrow for lunch mon/tues/wed? Meat, red potatoes, onions, carrots, celery. Anything else?
Not sure about breakfast and dinner tomorrow. Maybe that monkey thing for breakfast?
Today is the first day I am feeling like this really sucks. I was fine until about 4:00, and then I just started feeling so angry that I had to cook again for dinner. It's Saturday! I DO NOT cook on Saturdays, ever! Ugh. I'm not giving up though, I am committed to this. I just put some kale in the oven to make "chips" and will grill some chicken. I am not excited about it though, lol.

This feeling was always the worst. I usually have some grilled or shredded chicken in the fridge already so I could have a little protein before I had to actually make dinner. It didn't bother me as much when I wasn't quite so hangry!
Everything smells so delicious AND by the time I was done I was so hungry and aggrivated with everyone I was practially running out of the store screaming. I had to open the prociuto slices before I dared to deal with anyone else.
My party today went pretty well. I made pesto meatballs, potato wedges with baby bam seasoning, and fruit salad. My mom brought roasted veggies in olive oil. I abstained from the alcohol and desserts my friends brought and only ate the things I knew I could have. I'm proud of myself. DH on the other hand crashed and burned. He ate like 20 cookies and was eating ice cream and drinking beer. I guess I'm on my own now. Lol.
And my mom has been really helpful and asking me lots of questions about the plan. We are going over there tomorrow and she's making sure she has compliant foods.
Days 6 & 7 for me as well. The weekends are the suck. Too much time on my hands, which made me feel hungrier than I'm sure I actually was.
I stuck to it as did H, although he was whining A LOT and saying he wasn't sure how much longer he could hang in 100%. I really hope he sticks to it, but I am not squandering the 7 days I have under my belt and will ride it out come hell or high water.
