Alexander Richard was born at 7:59am this morning. He's 9 lbs .1 oz, 20.5 inches long, with a 14 in. head circumference. He latched and nursed really well and G loves him. We're exhausted from being up all night but otherwise doing great.

I'll update with PIPs and a birth story soon. This birth was a lot harder for me then G's. In the end I got my second med-free birth after really doubting I could do it this time.

She's been so excited to meet him for weeks -- we've been reading big sister/baby brother books and talking about him coming. She did great yesterday, was so sweet and gentle with him, plus charmed all the nurses.

She had a hard time leaving us at the hospital and DH said she was dealing with really strong emotions last night. They'll be here to pick me up soon, so hopefully she'll be doing better today. I'm looking forward to lots of snuggles today from both my children.
