Maybe I'm blind, but it seems like on the boards I don't see success with clomid. That's our next step and I'm really down about it. I'd like to hear some success stories from people on here, because I feel like I "know" you more than some random google couple.
Why are you down about it? What testing have you had done? What diagnosis, if any, do you have?
I recommend you get a full IF workup for both you and your H. I've seen way too many drs hand it out like candy instead of finding out what's wrong first, if anything. And it has side effects, like any drug. So you should have some sort of even basic monitoring.

Or see an RE.
I have PCOS, with low estrogen. I've had blood work, a HSG, and the progesterone test on a cycle day that I cannot remember. I know it wasn't CD3. My husband has had a SE with results with the low end of normal. I recently had my thyroid blood test redone, because my levels were slightly elevated.
If I'm not having the correct tests done, could I get a list. My gynecologist said that she would send me to an RE.
I'm down about it, because I'm scared and I have 4 people around me pregnant. While I'm happy for them it sucks for me.

I know lots of people who have gotten pregnant on clomid (and many have twins or triplets). I highly suggest, if you're not already doing it, to see an RE and not do it through your OB unless they do extensive monitoring or are specially trained.
ETA: I've done several cycles of clomid+IUI but it thins my lining too much. I do much better on all injectables cycles.

Are you being treated for PCOS? I believe Metformin is the usual course of treatment for that.
The progesterone test was on CD21, but if you ovulate earlier/later it can be off. Are you charting?
Your husband had an SA. If he's on the low end, did your dr recommend a urologist visit?
The tests are fine, but you should really see an RE at this point with all that's going on.
And it's fine to be scared about the unknown. Just remember their pregnancies have no bearing on your ability or inability to get pregnant. See an RE, get a plan, and empower yourself.

See an RE for sure - always the best way to get pregnant --- and on clomid you need to be monitored (which most OB's don't do properly) to avoid high order multiples, Hyperstimulation, cysts, etc... lots of dangers with clomid that most Ob's don't take into consideration and they just dole it out and say "have sex".
All 3 of my boys are from clomid + met + IUI + trigger. Griffin was our first cycle ... the twins took 2 cycles (but my first cycle that time i had a kidney infection, and I think that made that cycle blow b/c i didn't even have one good follie).
i had one follie when i got pg with Griffin, and 2 follies when pg with the twins. I wasn't going to go forward if I had 3 or more follies ever b/c i wasn't comfortable with twins or more (and having to consider selective reduction, etc)
do not feel down about clomid! It's often all you need with PCOS!!!
A low carb diet will help you a lot, too... some women with PCOS get pg with just that... b/c just a slight elevation of sugar can = shitty ovulation... eating low carb can lower your sugar le.vels just enough to get you O'ing normally sometimes.... I did low carb while doing my cycles..

I wish I would have listened to this advice before wasting 6+ months on 3 failed clomid cycles (after waiting 6+ months before trying to do something about it...), and then waiting around for an RE appt. Sure, take the first cycle worth if you're starting your period soon - but, call an RE and make an appt, stat. It will probably take a couple of months to get an appt, and then you'll need a series of diagnostic tests.
I did get pregnant on my first cycle, 50mg of Clomid plus a trigger shot. My doctor monitored my follicle growth to reduce the risk of high order multiples. He would have canceled the cycle if I had too many ripe follicles.
I did not get an official diagnosis although many signs pointed towards PCOS. My OB oversaw my fertility testing and Clomid. I felt comfortable with that after asking him many many questions about his approach and finding it to meet the nest/bump standards He said he'd only do 3 rounds with me, then send me to an RE.
I had a healthy baby, born early but who the hell knows why.
