Already. Ugh.
C's nails were really long and she scratched herself on the cheek earlier this week, so I decided they needed to be trimmed. I filed them down really well, but there was one that was holding out on me, so I used the clippers. I THOUGHT I was being careful, but I ended up clipping her and now she's bleeding
She slept through the whole thing and I got Neosporin on it immediately, but I'm so disgruntled at myself. Mother of the year.
Don't be so hard on yourself it happens. I did that to M when she was itty bitty and it was traumatizing but she was better in no time and will never remember. It's definitely harder on us that it is them. You are doing a great job!
Baby nails are the worst! I tried to file, didn't work. Tried to clip, didn't get then short enough or cut him. And they grow like weeds and are super sharp. It's a no win situation.

I totally did that too. I cried harder than she did and thought I clipped the tip of her finger off. We even took her in. Can you tell I'm still traumatized? I didn't start clipping her nails again until she was two.

Thanks, guys! I'm glad I'm not the only one
jennlin We have baby mittens but she loves sucking on her fingers so I'm hesitant to put them on her.
karebear219 That's scary!! Like a little bit of blood is one thing, but if I thought I did seriously bodily harm, I would probably never forgive myself ... even if it turned out to be nothing.
