I am 33 weeks tomorrow and have not gained any weight since I was 24 weeks. Is this normal? I have a growth scan scheduled for next week anyway and the Dr hasn't mentioned anything at my appts. I would have asked the Dr sooner but I just realized how long it had been. I am up 22 lbs overall. I feel bigger in the belly area and baby is very active.
Yeah apparently a lot of people on here a while ago stopped gaining in 3rd tri if they gained a lot in 2nd tri. I wasn't one of them. :?
::sits here::
If Dr isn't concerned, then do your best not to be, either, OP. Easier said than done, I know. But a 22lb weight gain is well within normal range overall, anyway.
My DR said as long as you are measuring fine, they aren't as concerned with weight gain. If there are drastic changes (up or down) they might have concerns. I somehow lost a pound over the last month, they were unconcerned.
I haven't gained yet at all, and like Motzie mentioned, my doctor told me last time that as long as I was measuring fine and it sounded like I was eating enough so they weren't too concerned. She said we may want to do one more growth u/s, but that things have looked good all along.
I wouldn't be worried if your doctor isn't, especially if you have a growth scan next week
Agree with everyone else here. I just posted in another thread that my SIL only gained 6lbs with her last pregnancy. She was eating just fine and the baby was healthy and about 8lbs at birth.
My daughter was born 07-01 at 6 lbs 9 oz...a perfectly healthy weight. Over the course of my pregnancy, I gained and lost weight for a net total of 1 lb lost. My baby was kicking the whole time and the ultrasounds measured her growing each time. As long as you are feeling good and the OB is happy with your progress, you are good.
