Morning!!!
It's Wednesday! Middle of the week! (Almost to the end of the week for me!)
How is everyone today? Anything fun happening in your part of the world?
QOTD: Did you go on vacation this summer (or winter for those on you in the other hemisphere :-P)? Where did you go? If not, did you do anything fun in lieu of a vacation?

Good evening!
Not much is happening today -- just a normal day, grocery shopping and dinner were the highlights. Tomorrow DH and I are headed up to Melbourne for the evening to see Chris Hadfield -- I'm really excited about it and the fact that I get dinner out, even if it's just popcorn chicken in the car on the way up, it's a dinner I don't have to cook!
QOTD: Well, I'm taking my summer vacation starting New Year's Eve and I'll be back late January. We had a luxury overnight in Melbourne for my birthday last weekend and we've been up a couple of times for treats, but we haven't had a long vacation together since Christmas 2012. (I went on a cruise with my family last October without DH.)
We went for a weekend in Lisbon in June and just came back from Norway (another long weekend). Planning longer holidays in October or November and I just can't wait!

We went to an international parents play group here:
It's a weekly group and has a great turn out. It was exciting because we took the bus and DD loves buses quite a bit so she was very excited. Then we had a lunch date and had amazing soup in bread bowls at a local bakery. It's so good!
No real vacation since we just moved, but we have visited the family's cabin in the country and it's stunning there. We're planning on a trip to London in October or November.
QOTD: literally just returned from 2.5 days in London WITHOUT THE KIDS. It was fantastic.
I counted and this was my seventh trip to London. Stayed right in central London, slept a lot, read a lot, walked a lot and ate a lot. We saw Book of Mormon and a few movies.
Great meals at The Wolseley, Berners Tavern, Bocca Di Lupo, Bodeans BBQ and Chipotle.
So refreshed. And the kids were really good with the sitter.
RockNVoll, I've never heard of trapeze classes in London, but in the past year the 'it' class to take has been taxidermy. I am not joking. The Shoreditch hipsters are all over that shit.

This summer has been really career heavy. The only vacation I've had was for a few days to a friend's beach house in Delaware. Other than that, I've been around here. The few days that I've spent at the pool have felt like a vacation.
