Do you leave water in the crate for your dog?
We just got a new dog and she is crated while we're at work (four hours in the a.m., one hour lunch, and three in the p.m.).
Our other dog has free run of the house and access to the shared water bowl. Should I put a bowl in the crate with our new dog? Thoughts?

Assuming healthy adult dog, crating indoors in comfortable conditions, for those hours- no water.

Eeek - sooo cute! If you find you want to provide water in the crate, there are small bowls that can attach to the side of a wire crate and so can't really be spilled or tipped over. I had success with them when my pups were crated.

I have a dog sized hamster bottle that fit onto my dog's crate. She loves that thing. No spills were a bonus
