I'm planning to run a half marathon at the end of January. In the past I've done HH plans, and while they have served me fine and help me cover the distance, I feel like I'm ready for something more. I want to eventually go sub-1:50 (my PR is 1:51:xx), but honestly I'm a carrying a few pounds more than I should so I'm not sure it's in the cards for this season. Nevertheless, is like to get as close as possible and am ready to put in the work. I'm willing to do a long training cycle and start as soon as now (lol). Ideas?
I'm a big fan of Pfitzinger's plans. I used the plan from Road Racing for Serious Runners and broke 1:50 last half cycle. I can email you the plan if you want.

Awesome! I have that book so I really ought to check it out. Thanks for reminding me about it.
