Anyone excited for the Emmys? I think Billy Crystal is doing a tribute to Robin Williams.
I am looking forward to this awards show. Shows I like should do well, including "Breaking Bad." I could see Anna Gunn and the writers winning, and Cranston and Paul are definitely in the hunt. McConaughey's really good, but it'd be a shame if Cranston lost last year for the "Say my Name" episode and this year for "Ozymandias."
Comedy Series is kinda a tossup. The safe bet is "Modern Family," which will tie "Frasier" if it wins. But others think "Orange is the New Black" has the buzz. Can't count out Veep. Julia Louis-Dreyfus will probably win.
There are some shows I haven't seen but want to, like Fargo and the third season of Homeland. I might check out "Spoils of Babylon," too, if I can ever find it.
I know there were a lot of repeat winners, but I liked most of them. I was glad to see the Breaking Bad wins, Jim Parsons, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Kathy Bates, Ty Burrell, etc. Ty wasn't really on the radar this year to win. "Sherlock" had some unexpected victories. Cumberbatch and Bates were big surprises. Cicely was favored over Lange.
Glad Danes and Roberts didn't win because they get on my nerves. I'm kinda over Jessica Lange, who had bad work done.
Modern Family's kinda stale, but I like it. I would've rather Veep won, but I knew that the two "buzz" shows would cancel each other out. (Veep and Orange)
