Once Sam rode off with his girlfriend last episode, I realized that "Oh, they've given Lafayette a boyfriend, Sam a girlfriend, Arlene a boyfriend... Oh, yeah, everyone is going to be nicely paired up and everyone will ride off into the sunset together.".
On one hand, ok, great, they are all happy. But on the other, just a bit TOO perfect.
Obviously, other than Bill. But it's like "O.k.- let's take one major character away and then make everyone else nice an happy. Wheeee!!!!!".
And NO Lafayette in the last episode, at all?
Loved the Eric/ Pam part, though (although Sarah in the basement for 4 years???)
It was sooooo boring! How did Eric and Sookie not end up together after Bill dies? Where was LaLa? Why did Jason have a 7 year old in the flash forward of only 4 years? How in the world are Jessica and Hoyt going to manage their "marriage?" Ugh. I was less than happy with that ending. But then again, once they killed off Alcide earlier this season, I figured the ending of the series was not going to be to my liking.

I thought this season was very uneven. It went all apocalyptic with the H-Vamps, and then...that all resolved in kind of one night? Whole towns were being wiped out, the government couldn't respond, and then...it just got taken care of in one H-Vamp versus other-vamp battle? I think having Bill die was good, but I agree that it didn't make sense that he made Sookie do it. If she could push all her fairy light into killing him and be fairy no more that did kind of make sense, in that he wanted a "normal life" for her, but once she decided to do that...um, just wait for sunrise, dude. No need to make the love of your life stab you and get covered by your blood in the goriest fashion ever. It was a bold move to make Sookie happy in the end with some random rather than pairing her up with someone from the series (Bill/Alcide/Erik/Sam) but it made sense...they had kind of knocked out all their options there. I always thought Sam and Sookie would end up together, but they kind of tanked that option with this season and Sam's wife/kid. I did kind of like the Jessica/Hoyt wedding as a goodbye for Bill. I also liked Erik and Pam being moguls together in the end, doing their own thing away from Sookie. I'm just glad Lafayette ended up alive and happy. He was always my fave.

I would like to know if Sookie's eventual husband or whatever was a supe. I mean her whole thing was that she couldn't be with normal people because she could hear their thoughts all the time. So I can't imagine her being with a normal person. But who knows.

Yeah, when they prominently showed the fridge full of New Blood in the beginning of that flash-forward I was like, "Ooooh, she's still with a vamp!" but then everyone and their vamp SOs came over so it could have just been her being stocked up for the party.
