Can he sleep in the car seat at night?

I'm not sure if I'm being serious, but this is the most he's slept in awhile (nights included). I don't even know what to do with myself when I'm not feeding or calming him!

I wouldn't. The car seat restricts the baby's ability to move, even if not strapped in.

Yeah, he "sleeps" in the RNP now. I didn't think the car seat was an ok place to sleep, but damn, this is the most peace I've had in three weeks.

Do you think the car seat is a cozier fit for him? Maybe you could wrap up two small blankets and wedge them in between his body and the side of the RNP to make him feel snugger?

I know you are not supposed to, but we did it. Probably for a month or so when he was 3-4 months old. It worked for us.

My son slept in a swing for 8 months but I never let him sleep in the seat if the car wasn't moving. He fell asleep in the bouncy seat once and his head came forward right away.

We did it too for the first few weeks. Our "swing" was just a frame for our Graco carseat and it was the only way he'd fall asleep.

I wouldn't... But I have two friends whose babies slept in the car seat in the crib for months...

I have a coworker whose pedi told him to do this after he said his son slept so well in it. His kid slept in the carseat for like 6 months or more!

Personally, no, I would not be comfortable with this at all. I would use the rnp.

We used the rnp with vibration for the first 8 weeks. It works great

I was getting up every 2-3 hours then, it just became normal. Then at 5 weeks she started to sleep for longer bouts, up to 7 hours a couple of times.

Then at 14-15 weeks everything changed and I haven't had more than 3 hours straight sleep in over a month. And now I am back at work. It's loads of fun.

She sleeps well in the car too but not any better than anywhere else really, maybe for a bit longer but not enough to outweigh the risks.

I wouldn't. The airway is too easily impeded in the car seat.
