Day 14 - still going strong
I really want to weigh in tomorrow, as a half way check-in. Thoughts?
I also bought some collard greens from the hot case at my grocery store. The lady said they were frozen, so no preservatives, only greens and seasonings, no sugar. I took a risk. I usually have avocados and tomatoes on the side for lunch but I have had bad luck with them the past couple of days. That's been my only questionable thing.
Yesterday wasn't bad, so I am hopeful. I already feel less bloated (partially due to typical post-vacation deflation). I am anxious about the weekend, but my husband and I discussed a plan yesterday.

As a non-expert, my vote is to do it as long as you won't give up of the number isn't what you want it to be. Weighing in helps keep me on track, so I will be doing so about once a week.
The student council puts on a dessert buffet for teachers that was today. Luckily there was some fruit but I got out of that room as fast as possible. I really wanted a cookie!

I'll fully admit that I weighed in a few times throughout my W30. I'd say do it as long as you won't be discouraged if the number isn't what you're hoping. I know this is contrary to the 'rules'.

I am in the re-introduction (day 30-something) and I need to stop treating it like a W30 rumspringa! This is really reinforcing that I need strict rules to be successful.
I'm losing weight, but I always do that when I give up grains/sugar (and gain it right back when I ease up on the restriction and go to whole grains). Giving up dairy hasn't been hard. I thought it would help clear up my arms, but so far there's been no difference. I have about the same amount of energy as before. I dunno, this hasn't really been the "miracle" diet for me.
On the flipside, dh is doing much better than he has in a while, which was my main goal. So yay!
Day 9...haven't cheated a bit & doing fine. Started walking...4miles yesterday, 2 today. Not as tired anymore & my headaches have finally stopped. Still caffeine free too. I can tell cut the caffeine has helped SO much with my anxiety--it's not completely gone but it's much more under control & appropriate. I am not hungry much at all...I think without my BFF sugar, eating has lost it's appeal. Lol.
Day 16. Still going strong. I never realized how bad my stomach used to feel until now when I see the difference. However, I hoped my skin would clear up, as the book mentions that this diet is good for acne, and I am having a major breakout now, boo.
My skin (I have HORRIBLE eczema) didn't start really clearing until about 3 weeks in when I did my first whole 30. The itchiness and broken skin pretty much stayed away until I reintroduced grains. This also happened to coincide with my going on a binge and losing ALL the healthy eating habits i had gained during the month. Obviously, grains are a problem for me. (My eczema is also tied very strongly to my many allergies, but I figured these out before the whole 30, so the whole 30 was just the last piece of a very complex puzzle for me).
Anyway, my point is the skin stuff can take a while. I hope you both start to see results soon!
