Ha! I saw those reviews the other day. I have no interest in those books (have you people read the tampon scene? *shudder*), but I do enjoy the mockery. This site is also hilarious:
The last couple of times I've read books because everyone and their dog seems to be talking about it I sorely regretted it afterwards (Twilight and Hunger Games). I've managed to stay away from 50 Shades so far and am trying not to repeat mistakes of the past!
Dude, The Hunger Games was awesome.
50 Shades was horrific. I couldn't put them down, because the writing was so, truly awful, and the guy was so psychotic but for some reason I couldn't turn away.
The first book of The Hunger Games series was good. But the last book completely killed it for me. Maybe just the last 5-10 pages, really. It was like she just gave up and didn't want to write anymore so to wrap it up she was just like, "And then this happened and that happened and let me just be done with this. The End." No dialogue or story telling, just literally a narration that sounded like a bad book report summary. I was so annoyed.
I agree with all of this. I still liked it though!
You don't have to read 50 Shades if you read the link I sent to you. She sums it up very well.
