melsamoony what state are you in again? If it's Maryland or close, I always thought it was weird that Maryland was considered the south. I know it technically is if you're looking at the civil war, but still. Although I do have to say some of my family out there can fit some southern stereotypes
Technically the southwest according to that map, but people claim the South if they're towards the eastern side of the state, which I am. I tend to say if you're east of I-35 and north of San Antonio, you're in the South. I just feel culturally more Southern than Western, ya know?
I did a double-take at 'South Canada', wondering what it meant (most of Canada's population resides close to the 49th parallel) but then I saw the map and realised it was Ontario.
But that is not where I live because I am the cool poster who lives abroad.
