Over a year ago I had evidently put these on my "notify me when available" email list from Zappos and this morning were notified they were in stock. I have some Ugg slippers that I love, but I've never worn Ugg boots. Cute? Not cute? (I realize they are "kids" but the reviews said they work great for women too, just order the appropriate size.)
Do you think they are hideous? I have some Frye's that I've been wearing, but I was thinking these might be comfier. But I don't want to look hideous, lol.

They're definitely NMS. I keep looking at them but they are not growing on me. They look comfy, but I don't see anything "attractive" or "cute" about them. I don't like the huge buckles, the big logo tag, and the very noticeable contrasting sole and lining.
I will preface this by saying, Uggs are not my style. I tend to go for a more streamlined look. That being said, I think these are a big step up from the regular ones.
Cute is never a word I use with Uggs. Are the warm and comfy, yes. But I really don't find them comfortable for a lot of walking nor are they functional for snow/slush.

I think you can find better options for the price. Unless you live in the Midwest and only wear them for grocery store runs/in your work parking lot I would stick with the fryes.
FWIW I have a pair of fake uggs from AE that were about $20- I live in ND and needed something to wear to/from the gym in the winter and during the final month of my pregnancy.
I think that ugg type boots have their place, but for that much I would find some cute leather riding boots.
