Well. It was the first week back to school. It has been a rough one!! Sooo, come delight in my misfortune.
Things that happened this week:
1. New students started Monday. On Wednesday in one of my classes, I fell on the floor. While wearing a dress and heels. In front of 25 twelve year olds. SO EMBARRASSED.
2. That day, I also forgot my lunch. Coworker (guidance counselor) was going out to get lunch bc he actually has enough time to leave. I asked him to get me lunch. He was getting gyros. Didn't know what those were but ok.
OMG. They're lamb?!?! I couldn't eat it. I shoved a few bites down and couldn't bring myself to eat more. I threw it away. I was too scared to go to the cafeteria and buy another lunch bc I was afraid I'd fall on the floor again.
3. Last night was our first cross country scrimmage. It was a disaster. None of our kids knew what to do. (To be fair, it was our 3rd day with them.) they weren't in the correct place when it was time to start. They didn't stand in line so I could get their names for the time sheet. Etc Etc.
4. I did bedtime alone last night. Scott advised to put Mila in the crib with her iPad while I did Carson's bedtime. I turned the monitor on her. He JUST falls asleep when I hear "mama. Mama". I watch in HORROR as she pulls down her undies, squats, and SHITS IN HER CRIB. Then, poor thing, she tries or pull her undies back up. She stands in the corner of the crib, staring at the poop and calling for me. You can just imagine how the rest of that went.
5. When S got home, he was washing dishes and I guess splashed water on the floor. I walked to the sink to get ready to make bottles. I slipped and my foot jammed against the cabinets. My toenails on my two smallest toes ripped upward, off the skin. They were bleeding everywhere and now the toenails are sticking UP at an awkward angle. It hurts so much to walk.
This was too long for a random but I just wanted to vent the week out. Feel free to glean enjoyment from these shitty tales.
I didn't. I was horrified. I said "I've never eaten lamb!!" One of my close coworker friends was dying. He kept saying "there's a sheep outside crying for its baby!" I wanted to cry. Lol.
I'm sure I would have liked it had I not had the mental block over what it was. Which is stupid bc I eat other meat.
Oh my gosh, what a week! I hope your toes feel better and you can rest this weekend. I only went back two days so far and mine were crazy too (a bat flying around my hall and nothing on the computer works I have no documents from the past 2 yrs) but yours is way crazier! This means next week will be perfect, you got all the crazy out week one.
Oh man, you poor thing! What a week! Surely next week has to be better.
Just so you know- gyros aren't always lamb! Typically it's pork, and sometimes chicken...I usually don't see gyros made with lamb unless specifically asked for.
Ugh of course I couldn't luck out. I even told him when he came back "tell me this isn't lamb. Just tell me that it's NOT!" And he was like... OMG it's lamb. Is that not ok?

OMG that sounds crazy too!! Holy crap!!
And ugh, I have to work an 8 hour shift at J&J tomorrow
Oh man, I'm sorry. At least its a long weekend, right?
Yes! And doing the J&J shift tomorrow means I still will have 2 work-free days! They have a TON of people scheduled to work bc it's sidewalk sale. I'm going to text my manager in the a.m. and tell her that if they don't need me I would be thrilled to come in later.
I'm also going to tell her that I want demoted to sales associate and only work one 4 hour shift over the kids nap time every weekend instead of an 8 hour open or close shift. I miss my kids.
I did the same thing to my toenail when I was coaching volleyball on year. It hurt so bad and the toenail came off soon after.
NOOOOOOO I don't want to lose the toenails!!!!
They were sweet. Basically the reaction was OMG are you ok?? There was no laughing or anything. I said I was fine and just continued on in my teaching.

Oh I hope you can go in later!
I've fallen so many times in front of kids and they are usually very cool about it. I on the other hand am usually mortified! School floors are so slippery.

Oh man. I hope your shift goes fast! Does the extra % off start today? I need to find a dress for our family pictures for L!
Between the bats and mice at my work I'm going to spend half my paycheck on Clorox wipes this year. Yuck.
