Hi all, How was everyone's weekend? Anything exciting going on today? My exciting news is that it looks like our house purchase is going through! After a lot of faffing about, the seller got all the paperwork together and we should be all set to close on the 1st October. Am having fun looking at paint colours and thinking about having a garden.
Nothing big over the weekend, but got to enjoy the lovely weather we're having with friends. Going to check out Story Time at a nearby library with DS after work. I hope this is something we can do every week.
QOTD: nothing in particular. though I do like Lucie's List and Alpha Mom for baby related stuff.

Not much went on this weekend. Hung out with my DH and his friends on Friday night, baked bread on Sunday and just relaxed. It was good! Nothing exciting today...it's a run errands, do laundry & ironing kind of day.
QOTD: I'm on MyFitnessPal all the time. I've learned so much about how to do the 'dieting' thing in a more healthy manner and in a way that means I won't gain the weight back, which I like. I read a variety of cooking sites.

Happy Monday! Congratulations on the house pittpurple!
The weekend was pretty lazy. We were dog sitting my inlaw's dog and while she's well-behaved, I am so glad she's gone home. 6:30 wake-ups to go out are tough when you're not used to it. Today was a regular Monday, with tap class -- it was a great class, but I wish I could figure out how I got a full 16 counts ahead of everyone else during the routine. I started out right, but somewhere I got off and was way ahead of everyone. And while I haven't really lost weight, I've been walking and trying to eat better, so tap class is getting better and easier. I feel so much better about myself.
QOTD: Better After and The Bread Monk are my favorites currently. I used to watch The Bread Monk on his PBS show, Breaking Bread with Father Dominic and it's his recipes/techniques I use to make all my yeast bread. Better After is my guilty pleasure -- most of the time I'm not sure the changes truly are "better" but I love to look anyway.
I got a volunteer job today that is related to my previous work experience (communications). I'm ecstatic that I might not have a huge resume work gap, even if I don't get paid. I don't have a work visa so I'm good with this, at least for now. Yay! This balances the absolute PITA I have over planning an upcoming vacation. The flights from here are effing horrible. Arghhhhh.
QOTD: there is a local blog about kids stuff in the area that I love. Otherwise I really don't follow blogs.
Weekend was fun, but busy!!! Friday night I went to a friend's birthday party and we danced all night ;-) Saturday, I went to small dinner party for a different friend's birthday. September is a busy birthday month :-P
I'm at work today and then getting a hair cut tonight ;-) Nothing too exciting!
QOTD: I'm pretty hooked on Pinterest, lol. Any blogs I follow are mostly food related!
Slow weekend as DH was away for work. Got a sunburn on Sunday afternoon at the park, kids were mostly in good form and I watched The Outlander series premiere as my Saturday evening treat. Haven't read the Diana Gabaldon books it is based on but enjoyed it anyways.
My oldest starts school Wednesday so I'm trying to make the most of these last few days. We had a wander this afternoon around town and the beach and it was so nice to not be at all rushed. I think we'll do an outing tomorrow to his favourite beach town and then his first school day is Wednesday.
QOTD: I follow a dozen or so at time using feedly. The Art of Simple (formerly Simple Mom), Cup of Jo, Nom Nom Paleo, Design Mom and a few other random ones. Design Mom just did a week in Sweden and I was drooling over the photos. Really want to visit Sweden in the near future.

Hi there, I just saw this as I was off for Labor Day yesterday. Things are mostly going well for me. I've been recovering from issues with my allergies. Work has also gotten more intense but mostly in a good way.
QOTD: I tend to read random things around the internet. I like reading psychology blogs sometimes. I do have Pinterest though I haven't used it lately. I also read the news on various international websites.

So glad to hear that the house is going to happen!!
I've been gone from here for a while, but maybe I'll be on more regularly again?? Lots of things (not great) are going on right now, so I'm struggling to keep my head above water.
QOTD: I used to follow a couple - Crappy Pictures until it went more commercial, My OB Said What until I just stopped going. Otherwise I'm not much of a blog reader.
