Baby is grinding his teeth?

My 10 month old has started grinding his teeth. He has just gotten his top teeth in so I don't know if it is a new "skill" he is mastering or what it is. Any one else's baby do this or know how to discourage it?

AJ does it here and there now that he's got top and bottom teeth, I think just because he figured out that he can do it now. I try to distract him and leave it at that.

B definitely had this phase. It only lasted a few weeks. As annoying as it is I don't think you need go actively discourage it.

N started this around 9 months. I ignored it and tried not to react and he stopped after a few weeks. Normal!

DD also started this around 9 months. She stopped a week or two later without our doing anything. She will start up again when her gums swell though.
