Blb is just about 2 years and 3 months old. She's been so sweet lately. Lots of big kisses and hugs. She's starting to get more picky about food which is a bummer. But she's still a good eater. My folks are visiting right now so she's having fun with all the extra attention. We went to a wedding this weekend and she wore a really cute dress. I put her hair in pig tails. The wedding photographer must have taken a million pictures of her. Can't wait to see!
boy is now taking 5 unassisted steps before crashing. he gets up and does it over and over again. we were taking cute pictures of bjl yesterday (see below), and it felt like boy was jealous, cause we kept trying to get him out of the way for pictures, and he just kept standing up and walking to get our attention. oops. haha. we did give him lots of love right after.
bjl can pretty much say anything/respond to anything now. she asks a lot of "what is this", and it's crazy how good she is at remembering what each thing is. she can also remember things from a week ago, and we'll tell her to do something tomorrow instead, and she'll remember. it's weird. she's a little adult.
this is the boy when we were at the dallas zoo. they have a really cool kids play area. bjl slept the whole time we were in the play area though, so i'm sad she missed out, but boy had a really good time splashing.
bjl is wearing her brothers hat, and also shoes that h's cousin got for her brother. we thought she looked like a trendy little girl wearing these items. it was fun.

Hi!
B is now 11 days old. He is one ounce shy of his birth weight, and such a sweet baby. He's getting roughly 30% BM and 60% formula right now, but it's all at the breast, thanks to this handy device:
It's been great - and I can tell he's sometimes satisfied at my breast without the supplementer, which is cool. I am pumping roughly 0.5oz each session (this is both boobs combined), which is way more than I ever pumped with M. I am taking a bunch of supplements, which all seem to be helping to some degree: Motherlove More Milk Special Blend, shatavari, placenta pills (I got my placenta encapsulated), and so far so good. I need to find my fennel and basil EOs, though, and once I start to use those, I hope to see a marked improvement in pump output.
His last appt was today for a weight check and second PKU (I hate that they have to do two!). His next one is at 4 weeks.
M is nearly 3 years old... in 13 days!! WAH!!! She's getting so big, and is such a good big sister. She loves her little brother, loves giving him kisses, holding him, and helping us with him (she mostly grabs diapers, wipes, or blankets for him). She's been a pill as of late, though, but I have a feeling it's because of all the upheaval and change. We're trying really hard to pay her lots of individual attention, spending quality time, and making her feel special. It's tough when I have to tell her she has to wait because I'm doing something with the baby, but she is taking it all fairly well.
Good part is, MIL is staying with us. She was here last week, and this week, and M/FIL will be taking M to their house next week to give her something special to do, and give us a break and time to bond with baby.
I'll be posting pictures soon... I've been pretty sleep deprived lately, so I may have to cheat a little... LOL

how old is baby/bump? Three weeks!
last appt/next appt? We have a weight check tomorrow. She seems healthy and happy now but I want to make sure she's continuing to gain weight.
milestones? She's starting to smile, and actually recognize me and Dan! Last week my MIL was holding her and I walked up and said hi, and she turned her head towards me. It was the best!!
last appt/next appt? last was two months, next is next week to check in on his reflux meds which have stopped working in the past week and a half so thank god we have an appointment next week. I want to make it through the day in one shirt and pants.
E is 13 months. Walking up a storm, eating pretty good, "talking" all the time. So cute. He's in the toddler room more often than the baby room and it seems like he loves it. He's such a big boy!
This was on FB, but I'll post it her since it's kind of anonymous. He carried his new Nike's out of Foot Locker all by himself. It was the funniest thing to watch as he tried to walk with the shoes dragging on the ground.
A is spending more time awake each day, and also starting to fuss more. But it's neat to see him intently studying me. He also loves staring at G's curious George (see pic) that DH calls hypnomonkey.
G isn't so sure about her brother this week and had a meltdown today insisting that DH was "only G's Daddy". She moved up to the preschool class at daycare yesterday and is adjusting to that change too. We're slowly figuring out 2 kids, I think/hope.
toratoratori I love her yellow anchor shirt. It's not pink! Did you dress her
How'd you guess?
Seriously though, I found a bib at Target yesterday that said "Eat. Sleep. Football." I texted a picture of it to Dan and his first question was, "Does it come in pink?"
Forgot to include the hypnomonkey picture! Curious George snapped him out of a furious crying fit and gave us five minutes of silence while A intently studied George.

Whyyy.
Ha ha ha! I love it. Of course if our next baby is a girl she'll just wear babylefty's hand me downs so...

I tried explaining this to Dan! I was like, "I'm not buying all new clothes for Baby Rogo: The Sequel so if you don't want your boy dressed entirely in pink, stop buying pink shit." He was unmoved.

My mom just posted these pictures from our hike this past weekend. The photo of Blb looks professional! I can't believe she took it with her phone. Doesn't it look like a fake back drop?

my son wears a lot of pink. #handmedowns
At least I got rid of all the shit that said "gorgeous" and "princess."

Love that picture! It totally looks professional! She's so cute
Hi there folks - Iv'e been MIA. We've had a super busy august and just got back from Mexico. DS is officially an international traveler!
He is 13 months old today. I'm not sure if anyone follows on MMM, but I posted over there that at his 12 month appointment docs were concerned about his weight and height growth. They've essentially labeled him Failure to Thrive, which is very disappointing to me. So we're now seeing a GI doc and nutritionist. He is on an appetite stimulant, drinking half and half instead of milk (!!) and we're bulking up calories with what is basically powdered calories that we add to anything liquid...he gets to eat full fat ice cream, butter, cream, oils, peanut butter, and everything you could imagine that we all try to avoid as adults. So we've been uber-focused on that as of late. We go back to the GI doc in about a month for a weight check. Side note, he's finally STTN over the last 3 weeks or so.

Here's a photo from our trip this past weekend:
Just wanted to say my daughter was listed as failure to thrive for awhile as well and she's anything but. I was super stressed but things ended up fine. We were adding olive oil to her baby food purees. Yuck. I hate the term failure to thrive!
Hi stretchad! Welcome back! Bjl wasn't quite at failure to thrive but we needed to "watch it"...we were mixing olive oil in her almond milk and giving her the fat off our steaks. It was kinda funny. I'm a bit jealous. Hope baby stretch is enjoying all his goodies!
