Really??? A judge? She is 19 yrs old. What has she done to make her qualified to be a judge?

Now I am being judgy on this, no pun, but quite frankly I don't know what Simon thinks on her talent, but I say it's all kinds of fuckery.

I'd say her talent stopped after she left Barney & Friends!

Couldn't Cowell find a better judge (he did take his sweet ass time finding someone)...

Now, B.Spears...I can at least handle her. Not the greatest choice, but do-able.

I'm not familiar with this Demi Disney girl and she sounds like an odd choice, but I keep thinking she has to be better than Nicole. She was awful.

And Britney Spears? I don't know what Simon's deal is. I probably won't watch this season.

If you watched last season you might remember Drew singing "Skyscrapers." When she was done, L.A. told her it was inappropriate for a teen to be singing a song originally performed by a 40-year-old. That's Demi's song.

I'm glad to see a younger judge, but I wish it wasn't one quite so young. Or at least a more accomplished artist. I don't like Bieber, but he just turned 18 and at least has a bunch of hits and knowledge of instruments and such. Someone similar to that would have been better.

Taylor Swift! Female version of Bieber, she'd have been a better choice. Young, current, teens love her, has enough hits and experience now to dole out advice.

It will be interesting! I don't dislike her but I am with you in questioning this choice. I hope she does well though even though it seems odd. She is likable. And I am still so happy to see Nicole gone! Paula too for that matter.

I am curious to see which group Demi will mentor.

I agree...how can someone with barely any career "coach" other singers? I can't even tell you what Demi Lovato does or has ever done...

I read on TMZ that Chaka Khan wanted to be a judge. Would have been a waaaaaaay better choice!
