My parents were told I was a boy throughout my moms entire pregnancy. She didn't believe the doctors when they told her she had a girl. I was supposed to be Kevin after my mom's infant brother who passed away. My youngest male cousin now has that name.
If you had been a boy what was your name suppose to be?
Mine would have been Trevor Allan. Thank goodness I was a girl, I like Afton Marie much better!
I love your name! It's beautiful. I was going to be James if I was a boy. What's weird is that DH was going to be Rachel (my name) if he was a girl, I told my mother in law she has great taste in names
No joke, I read this as "login same middle name" and spent a few minutes thinking that it was a pretty remarkable coincidence that your name could have been "Stan" before I re-read your post correctly.
I'm on my third glass of wine tonight, can you tell?
Back on topic, my name would have been Daniel. We originally planned to name our first the same thing, until I got two Daniels in my class who were absolute shits. We named him Lucas instead.

My parents put all their eggs in one basket. Had I been born a boy, I would have been nameless, at least for a little bit. They only had a girl name--Marni.
My mom and dad picked out one boy name and one girl name. I have a male twin, so they used both. I don't know what they would have done if we were the same gender.

Michael Allen or Gregory Michael. And the other option for my name was Jessica. But my mom went with my name (K) and my aunt who had my cousin 7 weeks later went with Jessica.
I am lucky my name is unique and have yet to find anything/anyone with the same name. My sucky boy name would have been Samuel Paul. I had to ask and wish I hadn't

I really like Samuel Paul. Why is it sucky? Now I'm curious about your unique name ;D

Ditto. If my first name wasn't the female version, I'd totally use Samuel.

I was suppose to be Michael Melvin. My Mom's side has a thing with names... all the of my Uncle's first and middle name start with the same letter. I think it's cool but no one seems to be keeping it alive anymore.
