We managed to get our first camping trip of the season in. We've never camped in May before since the weather upstate is to unpredictable. We decided to hell with it, we're gonna try it.
We camped Sat-Mon and it was wonderful. Weather was warm and we only had a bit of rain Sun after we had already turned in for the night.
The best part of camping this time of year when the kiddies are still in school... aside from two other couples ( way down around the loop from us)we had the whole state park to ourselves Sun into Mon.

I bet that was amazing! Your own little heaven on earth!

Fun! We're going camping this week, too! It will only be for 1 or 2 nights, but I'm looking forward to disconnecting for a bit. The weather is supposed to be perfect here, in the low to mid 70s.
Having the state park to yourselves sounds nice, especially with no noisy kids. MH's days off are in the middle of the week and sometimes I like it because when we go do things there aren't many people.

Where do you live Monkeygirl?
Suburb of Philly ( we are roughly an hr away from the city). We generally camp up at Tobyhanna State Park but have camped at Hickory Run.

It was GREAT! I wish they would make couples only sections of camp grounds. I wont say adults only as we've already had groups of adults that are worse than kids.
We want to go camping and bring our 2 dogs. Be honest, how big of a pain in the ass will that be? Should I just board them? Feel free to assume they're unruly.
