I lost 13 lbs! I am happy with it. I still have a lot more to lose though but for the first time ever I feel like I am on the right track. This is the first "diet" I have ever done that I have been able to stick to. It's the only thing that has helped me "mentally" by getting in control of cravings and not being obsessed with food. I plan to continue to follow the program completely Monday through Thursday, and then have 1 or 2 cheat meals on the weekends, but the other weekend meals will be compliant. I am also going to start really focusing on exercise starting today. I managed to work out 2-3 times per week since starting the whole30, but it really needs to be every day from now on.
If anyone is reading this who isn't sure of they want to do whole30, I strongly recommend it to anyone! Health-wise, it's the best thing I've ever done.
I lost 6.6 lbs, which I am very happy about as it's almost halfway to my goal of 15.
I agree 100% with feeling so much more in control of cravings without being obsessed with food and actually enjoying food vs mindless munching.
I'm planning to stick to an 85%/15% ratio with the 85% being as W30 or, at least, paleo compliant as possible and allow 15% for the occasional treat snack or meal.
I would highly recommend it (and have recommended it!). If I, a frozen custard, diet soda, chips/dip junkie, can do this, ANYONE can do this.
I'm sleeping better (after the 1st week), I have way more energy, have had ZERO breakouts since I started ( we'll see how reintro-ing a bit of dairy works), and, as I stated already, I have such a better relationship with food as fuel vs comfort/entertainment, etc.
I am also down 13 lbs. And I also have more to go so I would like to stay compliant as much as possible. I don't miss snacking, my skin is clearer, and overall I feel good about my choices. I really love the freedom of not having to track or count calories.
My ulterior motive for doing this is that I have three ovarian cysts (up from two) on my only remaining ovary (I lost my other ovary to a massive cyst a few years ago). We've been unsuccessful in trying to conceive and my cyst issue wasn't getting better, so I am hoping this anti-inflammatory diet will help with that. I go back for another test on 10/10 so I really want to keep this up as much as I can until then.
I definitely slept better, lost some of my jitters/anxiety. My horrible cravings for sweets or eating out pretty much went away. I have an autoimmune skin/joint disease & I experimented by not using any of my prescriptions in those 30days. It didn't completely stay away but I only had very minimal symptoms gradually . Within days of eating grains/dairy again my skin symptoms exploded. I'm concerned this may indicated Celiac (my sister has it) because research says grain free only helps if you have celiac as well. I lost 20ish lbs & my energy level was more consistent. My digestion however is very temperamental & it generally did not like the Whole30. I think perhaps I do indeed have an egg sensitivity. I'll probably do it again in the near future though.

I don't know. Losing grains DEFINITELY helps my skin (in my case, it's eczema that I deal with, and it goes away completely if I eliminate grains). I do not have Celiac... I've been tested for it.
