Ugh, I can imagine how frustrating that is. Great that nothing is wrong but I too would just want to know why! I'm sorry you didn't get an answer. I hope your doctor has a plan to move forward and I hope more than anything it works!

awick14 and HoneySpider - Exactly. I don't like feeling out of control of things.
luv2rn4fun - Yeah, I just told my H that I probably should go in to work tomorrow. I've spent way too many hours today googling statistics and causes for miscarriages. It's becoming a problem. My OB did say she would be doing things differently this time. In fact, she said that the first person I should tell after my H is her because she would want me in there right away. She said we'd do the baby aspirin, progesterone, and start taking hormone levels right away. I believe some of the blood tests she did were for chromosome testing. I know she also did some for immunologic causes and maybe like thyroid/etc.

((hugs)) It's hard not to google and try to find some answers. Being educated the best you can is something that you can do in a situation that is completely out of your control.
Your doctor sounds really positive and proactive. I'm happy to hear that and hope that things go differently next time. I'm assuming you will start baby aspirin right away? FWIW, I started in Jan when the results came back. I also started testing 2-3 days before AF was due so that I could start the progesterone immediately. Also, be proactive with your insurance and find out the process for getting progesterone. I have Kaiser and it's surprising what a hassle that entire ordeal was (2nd pg was a complete rollercoaster/nightmare and this one I had to drive 75 mi each way to get it that day).
wanderingenough I love how your OB is going to be right there with you on the next positive. Seems like she is being really supportive. Glad she is taking care of my pal! Sorry you don't have more answers right now....
The OB's office just called. The majority of my test results came back (about 10 out of 12). All normal. I can't decide if this makes me feel better or worse. At least if something was wrong, I could understand why this is happening...
Just to give you a different perspective from luv2rn4fun. After my second miscarriage we did testing, including karyotyping, and everything came back normal. When I got my third BFP I called up to the OB's office and started blood work right away. I did two draws that week, and went back for weekly draws a couple times after that. Everything came back great. My progesterone was high enough that the doctor didn't even have me continue blood work through first trimester like he originally planned.
So basically, I did nothing different this time. I had my blood checked, but I didn't take any medications or anything.
I completely understand not getting any answers from everything being "normal" and just want to send you the biggest ((hug)), but I also just want you to keep in mind that possibly you are just having "bad luck" (which is a really shitty way to put it, but basically that's all they could come up with for me).
Not knowing is awful. I truly, truly hope that this doesn't happen to you again - and whether you make any changes next time or not that it will all be perfect for you.

So many ((hugs)).
Couldn't agree more, especially with the bolded (but it's hard to believe that when you're in the midst and you don't have answers). There have been so many of us on this board (me, bk1, zarapipe, mrssandro, chickadee, charky, and more) where the third pg did work for whatever reason. I'm really hoping that your next pregnancy leads to your take home baby! Praying for healing in every possible way and a quick and healthy BFP in the upcoming months. We're here if you ever need to talk and vent...lean on us as much as you need to. ((hugs))

MrsMB - thanks lady! i certainly appreciate the prayers and good vibes from everyone.
bk1- definitely appreciate the perspective! my H keeps trying to convince himself (and me) that that's all it is--bad luck. basically every time it comes up he reiterates that each pregnancy is it's own separate thing and we've just hit those bad odds both times. i told him it's time to buy a power ball ticket!

We felt the exact same way, especially because we made it so far both times. Right after my third BFP my OB/GYN retired and I got switched to a different one. Somehow it felt really nice when the first thing the new one said was "Looks like you have had a bit of bad luck." For some reason I just thought, yes, bad luck.
And I couldn't agree more with the bolded. It's so very true.
