I'm watching the storms roll through PA and I'm in central PA. I'm so terrified. I wouldn't be as terrified, if it weren't for the fact that my Husband goes to work 2 hours before we are supposed to be hit with it. So far, almost every county has had a tornado warning with 2 actual tornado sightings.
I want to hyperventilate, then go cry in a corner.
Last year, about 5 miles down the road, a tornado came through and pretty much demolished the houses and woods. To drive by there it looks like someone played pick up sticks with the trees.
I know this is so totally lame and I'm whining like a baby here but not much scares me besides really bad storms.
God, we have none of that stuff. We are as ill prepared as they come.
I'm hoping to call my neighbor later this evening or actually see her and make a game plan with her.
I'm really kicking myself for not having a cell phone that actually works in this house. Or a radio with batteries. We're young and stupid and don't think of this stuff. And my Husband is all "you'll be fine. I've lived here all my life and we've had maybe two tornadoes". That doesn't help me!
After today, I'm dragging my Husband to the store and we are buying all of it.
ETA: I do know where to go in the basement though...
I get it. I was terrified when the tropical storm was hovering here. I downloaded a storm app for my phone that alerted me when something bad (tornado, flooding, etc) was within a certain number of miles from my house. I woke up freaking out whenever it went off in the middle if the night.

I am from Dauphin County and about 10 people on my FB page have posted pics of the crazy sky. My parents house was hit by a tornado last year. They were fine (didn't even go to the cellar), but the house had a lot of damage. I am sure you will be fine. Just be cautious : )

I'm in Perry. Our storm seriously was about 30 minutes long. I guess I worried for nothing. But there is a second storm coming. From the radar it looks like we shouldn't get much of anything.
Selinsgrove had 3 tornado touchdowns. Yikes! That's too close for comfort.
