I use the Hair, Skin and Nails stuff from Costco- they're capsules.
TBH, they are a little rough on my stomach some days. The guy who cuts my hair claims his doctor told him this is common especially for men and "older" aka menopausal women. I don't take them on an empty stomach. My niece takes hers at bedtime.

Mine are also capsules and I just started getting the nasty aftertaste, no stomach issues.
I think it's helped. Ny nails are no longer splitting and peeling and I feel like I have significantly less hair loss. Also, my nails don't seem to be as brittle as before.

Do you have Costco? They have these awesome (tiny), dissolvable tablets in 5000mcg. No aftertaste at all, they're actually yummy lol. m.costco.com/Natrol%C2%AE-Biotin-5,000-mcg,-250-Fast-Dissolve-Tablets.product.100085952.html ETA: that link didn't work, the brand is Natrol
Biotin worked great for me but I swear it was either making me gain weight or making it extremely hard to lose. I went off it and slowly started to lose again. My Mother is prediabetic and had to stop taking them because it was messing with her blood sugar. Weird.
I never had an issue with taste, mine were just the Rite Aid store brand.
