Yes and I am full time and salaried. I have a card to swipe and can clock in and out on my computer at my desk. I refer to this as working at the cheese factory. This was originally described as a security measure so we would know who is in the building... But since we are to clock out when eating lunch in our offices and to remain clocked in when offsite for work, clearly there is no such application.
I'm salaried and "tracked" by the number of accounts I see in a week. The amount I see each day varies but as long as it adds up to at least the minimum number per week it's ok. I have a lot of office/organizational work to do as well so I rarely work the same hours day to day.

Yes. I'm a CPA in public practice so I have to track my time for billing purposes. I'm salaried, and my time doesn't affect my pay, just the amount my clients are billed.
We badge-in to get in and out of the office, and into certain sections of the office. Sounds like I may end up working on something that will require me to badge into the office, into another room, and into the computer.
But it isn't to record time - we fill out a time sheet for that. Though they will check the door records if there is reason to be suspicious.

Not technically. But we do get a big brother style report each month of how many times we were "late" (based on what time we sign into the system...hey, boss man, most of the time there are things we need to do/ fires to be put out immediately when we get here before we can log into the system), how long it took us to respond to all our messages, how long it took us to close each file, etc. I typically don't even open the report any more since I find that it just makes me irritable and doesn't provide anything useful to actually change my work flow. Not bitter about this at all, obviously.
There's a sheet for us to sign in and out. I usually sign it whenever I remember to do it that day. I don't know how often they actually reveiw it. I travel to buildings all over the district so I know they reveiw the sheets for people like me when it seems like they're never where they should be. Even then, I don't think the time matters since people could lie about what time they come and go.
