So... does it kind of give you a momentary pause when you look at the view count on a thread you've posted, and it's over 100 people? 150? 200? 1,000?

I know Pixy will ride this train, but it's worth noting that something you post here is getting seen by a number of people at least large enough to populate a mid-sized restaurant at any given time. Or a packed movie theater. Or a small concert venue. :-|

That 475k page views/day number kind of blew my mind. That doesn't even include people on the apps.

I am guilty of opening some threads multiple times, though, so I know that 100 views doesn't really mean 100 viewers. Still though, there are a lot of lurkers. We broke the record for highest # of users online at once again this week -- it's at almost 1,100 now.

For the most part we hang out at around 600-1,000 different people online at any given time. There isn't really any way to know how many different people view each day, though, since it could be the same people viewing from different devices. It's somewhere in that range between 1k and 10k.

Given that many users probably log in at two different IP addresses, and a handful more at 3 or more, then it seems like the actual number of viewers is probably somewhere between 5k-8k ish.

Still a lot.

I'm curious if these were all people from the Nest, or if there's a sizeable number of new lurkers.

There are something like three million people with Nest (Knot/Bump) accounts. I know that probably a lot of those never posted, but that's a staggering number and I wouldn't be surprised if easily double that number of lurkers w/no account were perusing the boards at any given time.

This is me, I open a threads more than once usually. I was a aslo a lurker for a little while before I decided to join in the fun. I don't really worry about people finding me though cause someone would really have to know me personally to fiqure out what my SN means and how it is representive of me. But, yeah alot of views still makes me go sometimes.

I was on the nest and lurked occasionally on PC&E but now that I use the proboards app, I'm realizing that more and more that the posts I feel like participating in are on CE&P... so here I am.
